Creator story that makes profit by Honey Select alone

I once talked about a creator who made a profit from his work through Honey Select game mode (https://www.patreon.com/Oreothelewdcookie) I recently joined his patreon, and I was able to see a little bit of what he was making. I do not know if I can see more works if I make more donations, but the number of works that can be seen only with the support of 5 $ was few.

This creator focused on stories and illustrations rather than animations. I found three or four storybooks. These works contained images. It was a fantasy story that did not fit my personal taste, but the story was interesting. Goblins, monsters, and female heroes come out, which are quite violent, but I enjoyed the work more than I thought.

In the past, I wrote that I started studying Blender because of the limitations of my creative activities using Honey Select. Nevertheless, the creator is sponsored by more than 200 patrons each month. If I think about my taste as a standard, it is strange that he receives so many sponsors. But recently when I asked my closest siblings for comment, he cautiously told me that he seemed to be more popular than the Futanari works I made.

There are two things that I have realized newly as I look at the works of this creator. First of all, this creator has a good ability to communicate in English unlike me. I thought it would be enough for me to be able to communicate in elementary level English while doing Patreon activities. I have not read all the articles, but I think he is interacting with his supporters in the process of communication.

And the second is that the stories described in his work stimulate my imagination. (I was also interested in the story when I made a work using Honey Select, but recently I focused only on the technical part that enhances the quality of the work.) His work quality is high among works made by Honey Select, The quality is not low, but there is a graphic limit that can be created with Honey Select. However, the story included in the illustration image gave me the impression that his work was more stimulating.

In the long run, I would like to work on the story-based animation as before. But there have always been other things to do first. Next time I want to talk about why I'm studying 3d.

일전에 허니셀렉트 게임모드를 통한 작품활동만으로 수익을 거두고 있는 창작자에 대해 얘기한 적이 있다(https://www.patreon.com/Oreothelewdcookie) 최근 그의 patreon에 가입해봤고, 그가 어떤작품을 만들고 있는지 조금이나마 확인하게 되었다. 더 많은 후원금을 낸다면 더 많은 작품을 볼 수 있는지는 모르겠지만, 5$의 후원만으로 볼 수 있는 작품의 수는 적었다. 

이 창작자는 애니메이션보다는 스토리와 일러스트 이미지에 집중했다. 3~4개의 스토리북을 발견했다. 이 작품들은 이미지가 포함하고 있었다. 나의 개인적인 취향과 맞지 않은 판타지 이야기었지만 스토리가 흥미로웠다. 고블린과 몬스터 그리고 여성주인공들이 나오는데, 상당히 폭력적이지만 생각보다 재미있게 작품을 감상했다.

예전에 나는 허니셀렉트를 이용한 창작활동의 한계가 있기에 블렌더를 공부하기 시작했다는 글을 올렸었다. 그럼에도 이 창작자는 매월200명 이상의 후원자에게 후원받고 있다. 만약 내가 내취향을 기준으로 생각해본다면, 그가 이렇게 많은 후원을 받는 것이 신기하다. 하지만 최근에 나의 가까운 동생에게 의견을 물어보니 그는 내가 만드는 Futanari 작품보다 훨씬 대중적인것 같다는 이야기를 조심스럽게 내게 얘기해줬다. 

이 창작자의 작품들을 보며 내가 새롭게 깨달은 부분은 2가지가 있다. 우선 이 창작자는 나와 달리 영어소통능력이 상당히 좋다. 나는 Patreon 활동을 하면서 초급수준의 영어소통만 할 수 있으면 충분하다고 생각했는데 그의 패트리온을 접속해보면 다양한 소통이 있다. 내가 모든글을 다 읽어보진 못했지만 분명 그는 소통과정에서 후원자와 서로 공감하며 상호작용을 하고 있다고 나는 생각한다.

그리고 두번째는 그의 작품에 서술된 스토리가 나의 상상력을 자극한다는부분이다. (나도 허니셀렉트를 이용해서 작품을 만들때는 스토리에도 신경썼지만, 최근들어서는 작품의 퀄리티를 높히는 기술적 부분에만 집중하고 있다.) 그의 작품퀄리티는 허니셀렉트로 만드는 작품 중에서는 높은 수준이고, 전반적인 작품퀄리티가 낮은건 아니지만 분명히 허니셀렉트로 창조할 수 있는 그래픽적인 한계가 있다. 하지만 일러스트 이미지에 포함된 스토리가 그의 작품을 더욱 자극적으로 완성시킨다는 느낌을 받았다. 

나도 장기적으로는 예전처럼 스토리 바탕으로 애니메이션 작업을 하고 싶다. 하지만 언제나 내갠 다른 우선적으로 해야할 일들이 있었다. 다음번에는 내가 3d를 공부하고 있는 이유에 대해 이야기 나눠보고 싶다.
