August update 5: Max the Elf V5.03 RELEASE!

EDIT 26 SEPTEMBER 2024: V5.03 has been updated with some small but noticable fixes for level 5!

Whats new:

- 2 new enemies in level 5!
- Level 5 gallery working!
- Level 1 Background remastered!
- New Pause Menu graphics!
- True Fullscreen mode with F11!

Known problems:
- Slide is not mentioned in control scheme (crouch + punch)
- Weird stretch in the sprites for Succuvick: from transition 2 to Scene 2
- SuccuVicks attack needs sound, Angel dancing needs sound
- Main menu graphics can be improved on as well.

Troubleshooting:

Q: How do I open the .RAR file?

A .rar file is a compressed package of multiple files together, you will need a (very commonly used) tool to extract it. You can use either WinZip, WinRar or 7zip to do this, I would recommend 7zip, since it's open source and completely free.

(You can get the "64-bit x64" version, unless your computer is very old and running on 32-bit x86, if you're not sure you can check like this:

Click the Start button, then choose Settings. Select System. Choose About. Check the bit version on the System type field.)

Once you have your tool installed, right-click "MtE v4.00 windows.rar" and find the "extract here" option. After extracting you can run "Max_The_Elf_DEMO" to play the game.

Q:  Some of you might get an error like this: (Missing UnityPlayer.dll): the problem could be that the antivirus or malware defender was flagging my game as a potential threat (unknown excecutable file). This makes the defender delete the .DLL file before it can launch.

You could try the following to fix the problem:

- Delete all the files that you extracted except the .RAR file

- Disable your antivirus/malware/defender software. (If you're not sure how, google might help, I'm not an expert on every different defender)

- Extract the .RAR file with the defender turned off.

- Try running the game now and see if you get the same error.
