Midnight Mass is very annoying (to me)

Idk, Bev was pretty convincing as a rotten protestant American (covid denier, etc) in the guise of a Catholic. The reason Pruitt was treated sympathetically is because Flanagan still loves the church of his childhood.

about halfway through, but i agree with most of what you said so far. i almost turned it off during the terfy convo in episode two, and almost everyone i talked to about it made it out like i was reading too much into it. and i agree about bev. people were cheering that she died alone and afraid and that creeped me tf out as well.

I actually really liked Midnight Mass so this video is gonna be super fun to watch. I don't really discuss the show with too many people irl 'cause most of my friends haven't watched it. Beautiful ear props btw! EDIT: just watched it, it's a good ramble video Sophie! I have to say we differ a lot on how we see and interpret details here. But you've made some great points and I'm glad to finally hear other perspectives on the show.

I stopped after the cats. If they are good with using dead pets for shock value, I am fairly sure that I am okay not watching it.

Most of the people I’ve seen talk about this show in my circle have talked like it’s about how Christianity is bad, so I think the “religion is like vampires” of it all is something other people are picking up on

Aaaah really excited to watch this, personally was left very frustrated by Midnight Mass both for reasons I could easily identify and for reasons I found I couldn't put my finger on. Keen to hear your thoughts on it!
