But it is harder to ask her to smile or, even worse, to laugh.
For that you need an actress more than a model, or you need to provoke a natural reaction to try and capture a genuine moment.
I don't remember how I managed to get this smile from Anna (I was not shooting backstage videos yet), but I'm glad I managed, because it is not one of those lascivious smile which sounds like a fake promise for something more, it is an honest smile that expands also to her eyes.

All models should be treated and viewed the same way we view Actors (or Actresses, if you prefer to buy into that ghettoization of Women from Men). Emotions are deceptive; people are careful of their "true" feelings. Is Ms. Anna "genuinely" smiling or a great model? She may be thinking about the laundry that's piling up at home in this image...LOL! But she can't disguise Art. Congratulations to you both!!! I also prefer the warmth of color for body modeling, and your color scheme in this image is very warm and nice and complimentary to Ms. Ana's skin-tones....LOL...or your lighting!?!?!
