(Ad-Free) Ambition vs. Restraint: A Deep Dive into Miley Cyrus and Addison Rae
Added 2025-06-26 11:00:10 +0000 UTCMiley’s a legacy act in flux. Addison’s a newcomer who might actually get it. In this episode, we break down two very different pop albums from two very different artists: Miley Cyrus’s "Something Beautiful" and Addison Rae’s debut "Addison." We dig into the critical response, the commercial fallout, the production choices, and the cultural weight (or lack thereof) of both records. Is Miley trying too hard to be taken seriously? Is Addison… kind of a genius?

He also has a massive issue with Wolf Alice, and they have a frontwoman (Ellie Rowsell)—he gave their 2021 masterpiece a 4 (to be fair, EVERYONE in the comments called him out on it & disagreed with the assessment) and as far as I'm aware, he hasn't reviewed their new release The Clearing yet. So yeah it wouldn't shock me if he actually is biased against women artists (whether it's subconscious bias or not, idk).
