(Uncensored Video) Sister Songs: If He’s Cold, Distant, and British...Taylor Swift Is Sold!

He’s cold. He’s distant. He’s British. And unfortunately…Taylor Swift is obsessed. This week on Sister Songs, we dive into False God, Peace, Hoax, and So Long, London—a saga of red flags, blind faith, and emotionally unavailable men. Taylor takes us on a journey through delusion, martyrdom, and the worst kind of intimacy: insecure. Grab the wine, make your confession, and get ready to talk shit with your friends (finally).

There are cliffs in Dublin—go to Howth (take the DART from the city center), it's gorgeous! Also in Bray & Greystones in nearby Wicklow (the DART goes there too). Re: Joe, it was bizarre that he chose not to go onstage to accept the Grammy for Album of the Year. Like...dude, YOU WON A GRAMMY!!! And not just any Grammy: it's the most prestigious award they give! It is so sad that Joe was THAT ashamed to be seen with Taylor...no one deserves to be in a "relationship" like that. (PS: Was Joe even at the ceremony?)

gurl - it was flavor aid

But if he’s a ghost then I can be a phantom My beloved ghost and me etc etc

I just had a sister song epiphany: Your Losing Me and So Long, London. It actually makes perfect sense listening to them one after the other. You’re losing Me is Taylor’s illegitimate Lover child that she threw in a theoretical vault that’s basically the Taylor Swift songverse equivalent to foster care. And all of that is my own fancy way of saying that Your Losing Me is their sister too— especially if you follow the narrative that they’re telling. Plus, I love the pulse that’s keeping beat in both. Thanks! 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

Can we consider ivy and fresh out the slammer I feel like there's some fun stuff to mine there

Travis Fry

i believe that a layer of the prophecy is about what you said madeline about her belief that it was right person wrong lifetime with her yogurt boy

Jeannie

But daddy I love him and love story next pls!! 🫶🏽

Andres

Men like this make women around them feel small in general. Right from the get go I’m sure he made her fill silly and insecure-which seems crazy. He seems extremely manipulative.

LH

Something so delicious about a joever chronology episode, I still regularly replay Madeline's Joever Playlist episode before tortured poets (even though ttpd was not what we expected lmao) because there's so much to mine in all the songs written about the relationship

courtney

Would you guys consider a Europe tour at some point? Not to add to your plate, but I would come ANYWHERE xx

palz

also the concept of taylor doing everything she can to mold the relationship into something he wanted so much so that she literally made up folklore to protect their relationship….mamas ive never seen it like that before omg

Jomazel

i love sister songs so much yay!!! 🤍

Jomazel

It is so clear that Joe is a Narcissist! They are masters at making a person think everything is their fault. They love to pout and go silent to punish another! I like to imagine her singing “So Long London” in an intense screaming tone! She was really screaming inside!

Tammy Sawyer

Seconding this!!! I love that song and I feel like it’s tea for sure

Carey

I love when yall start speaking in tongues

Emma S

These are my favorite episodes. The Taylor cinematic universe is unmatched by anything. 🫶🏼

What do yall think of Grammygate? How he got retroactively added as a producer to the Jack-produced songs on folklore to get a grammy bc u needed to have contributed to least 33% m of the album to win AOTY like jack and aaron. He was credited only after she won and only for the exact same number of songs to meet thr 33% Bon iver didnt win but the turkey did… Did Taylor initiate that? Was it Joe? And what was that for? To appease him? Did he demand to be credited? Because no way in hell he produced those songs lmfao. I lowkey think this is one of the reasons Jack had a disdain for this man. Joe got producer credit to songs jack and taylor produced despite not contributing anything. Jack signed merch that said “who’s william bowery anyway? Ew” in one of the bleachers shows lmao

I have a feeling that if Joe had been more successful and famous in his own right as an actor that he would have been happy to be more public and supportive of her, or at minimum have a good attitude at her events - she was expected to go to all of his BS, but he couldn't be bothered a lot of the time or was an obvious sourpuss. He probably felt overshadowed dating the biggest pop star/one of the most famous people/an award-winning success story, meanwhile he is an unknown actor who I have only seen in her friend Lena's movie "Catherine Called Birdy." I see it happen on Real Housewives all the time - once the wife starts making her own money and being successful, it's usually downhill from there. It's often a difficult dynamic for men.

Lover is a such a delusional/cry for help album, and the jump, from Lover into Foklore was crazy. Side note, I also am a fan of Anne Boleyn. If you haven’t seen The Tudars, you should!

lisam

To me peace and hoax occur concurrently. They’re parallel. Peace is what she’s saying out loud and Hoax is what she’s thinking.

Tony

“She’s going to the supersized kool-aid bowl down in Jones Town” I seriously laughed so hard, I almost spit my coffee out!

Lisa M Lamarche

Y'all need to visit The Alcott through this same lense!!! I think there is tea to how she was feeling at the end to the relationship in there!

Ally Hoberek

Yeah, I'd add Sweet Nothing, Great War and Labirynth to the sister songs. "It only hurts this much right now" Was what i was thinkin' the whole time.... HELLO! She was delusional for six years!

Gosia

It’s so funny to hear this false god talk when it was the first Taylor song I listened to and made me a swiftie

Kirsten

Peace, false god, hoax, so long London. This sister songs episode is about to be in different areas

Sean

“Folklore is Pangea”😭😭😭

I feel like the incompatible part was not just taylor's monstrous fame but the fact that she writes so candidly about relationships... maybe that was terrifying to turkey. I wonder what the emotional impact was on Joe of being written about in songs, even when layered under storytelling and characters and metaphors. I feel like he would hate it or at least feel uncomfortable by it... which is an impossible situation when dating someone who's made a life out of writing about her feelings and relationships. I do wonder though if it made him shut down more, because he didn't want to be material and exposed like that, and that reinforced taylor's guilty feelings, danger lives in me etc... I imagine that conflict felt so bad for her bc were she to continue doing the thing that gave her her life and made her herself (honest songwriting) she would be hurting her 'only one', and she tried to make it work for so long, changed her approach to songwriting even, but had to break free eventually, she couldn't be who she is while trying to offer peace. her songwriting and artistry is rly the one thing they can't take away

feeb

I really think Taylor felt a intuitive sense that this would not work but most time she was fighting with her self and the intuition in most of these songs. And she ignored it and ended up exactly as her intuition had told her. Broken like Hoax and So long LN

JJ

The way these always descend into you guys trading broken Tay-lish with each other 😭 Love it. I think Sweet Nothing would be a good member of this group - it’s got that deluded, thinly veiled resentment that seeps through so many Toe songs, and Taylor pretty much said as much when she mashed it up with Hoax.

Tom

OMG HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIVA!

Zachary Hourihane

Sister songs are my favourite episodes, especially when they’re about the heirloom turkey. It’s my birthday today, this is the perfect present - thank you snakes!!! 😍

Hattie

I’ve been waiting soooo patiently ever since I saw a bit of this vid on ig!!! So excited to watch!!!
