Joined the Patreon for TLOAS drop :) I don't currently have a solid ranking of the albums, but Folklore is definitely in my top half. I was a country fan who couldn't stomach the switch to pop as it was happening, so Folklore was my return. I've since grown my music taste and gone back to listen to everything I missed out on. I was never big into the fandom until then, so I appreciate all your videos looking back on the past eras so I can learn the lore.

But TBH, when the Eras tour started I wanted to do an in-depth, deep-dive into Taylor’s career and started googling podcasts and EOAS came up. So that’s really how I got involved and hooked. I’ve been toying with joining the Patreon for a while, but once the rumblings for TS12 started, I had to do it! She may be late but she right on time. Folklore ranks probably 5th or 6th. TLGAD is one of my favorite songs of all time.

I was some what uninterested. I wasn’t a full on Swifty at this point (Evermore changed me) so colour me shocked when I finally pressed play on Folklore to make sense of Evermore and it was one of the best things I’ve ever heard. It’s in my top 5.

From the get go, you have been my fav content creator about Taylor and then pop culture in general. Soon after that I discovered the pod, and now you and Madeleine are my top 2! 2. Joined the patreon end of 2023 I think when your videos and public episodes of EOAS made be want more! Obviously, they were wrong about many things (being gay and in love with Karlie Kloss, mainly lol), not to mention how EVIL it is to speculate on someone's sexuality and the general tin-hatedness of it all. I just remember being increasingly PUZZLED when she released Evermore and then MIDNIGHTS (does it feel like everything's just like second best after that meteor strike HELLOOOOO), and thinking... hold up... aren't you with the love of ur life??? the way she builds on this love-triangle storyline, from the solemn acceptance and pondering of her past in folklore, to the simmering bitterness in evermore, finally reaching a boiling point in midnights, and the NUCLEAR EXPLOSION that is TTPD... this kind of layered storytelling is not for the simple minded.

I saw a couple of headlines about it but I just brushed it off as “damn he’s butt ugly, that must just be a summer fling”. So your video made me fall out of my chair. 2. You rapidly became my favourite long-form creator. I don’t think there’s anyone else that has such nuanced and well articulated takes on music and pop culture as you do. So I just simply wanted more of that. 3. I have a true appreciation for its artistry and for the return of smart songwriting. However, I’m generally a more upbeat girlie, so I don’t really listen to it, or its sister by default.

First swiftologist video i encountered was the ranking & reshuffling albums series & i was hooked from the get go. this was probably in the spring/summer last year 2. took me like 6 months to join the patreon from when i first found you but it was because i was rewatching every video like 8 times over because my ADHD doesn’t like for things to be quiet & it loves listening to you guys speak. & i was like mama needs some more content 😂 3. folklore is so hard to rank for me. i think about ranking albums in 2 separate ways. 1 by how much i actually listen to the album, & 2 by how much i appreciate the album. folklore isn’t my most played, but i respect the hell out of it. I was at a vet clinic that I used to go to on the weekends to take care of their resident clinic cats (medicine, food, playtime, litter boxes) on days they weren't open. I had been listening to the pod for a few months and for my birthday I decided to treat myself to a membership because I couldn't get enough of the two of you. 3) As for where folklore ranks well.... While I certainly rank her as one of Taylor's best, in terms of what I want to listen to regularly, folklore sits around the middle of the pack at 7... Not because I don't enjoy it, just because I tend to prefer more upbeat songs to get me motivated. Happy 5 years diva!

I’ve always loved celebrity gossip, so the Matty saga was right up my alley. From there, I binged more videos and got hooked on the yearly recaps. I loved the dynamic between you and Madeline and ended up joining Patreon for more. I think it was the London live show where you hilariously trashed the Lover era that sealed the deal.
