Reportage with the X100V.

I'm planning to buy a wide angle lens, possibly the classic Nikon 28mm f/2.8 AI-s.

I wanted to make some pictures of Linda in tight and messy spaces in the location of Merate, and my options were limited: The old and battered 35mm Summicron is currently used on the Sony A7 for the backstage videos. The wide angle side of the Nikon 28-70mm f2.8 AF-S zoom Nikkor is better suited on a DSLR.

So I ended up using the 35mm (equivalent) lens on the Fujifilm X100V (cropped to 1:1 format).
This camera always produces stunning results for what it is, I'm really impressed (particularly by the slo-mo videos), but I still feel the need to have more control over the process, at least for my nude photography.

This is where the old Nikon could shine, mounted on the front of the usual Lumix S1, and perfectly integrated in my digital workflow.

Do you like these moody "reportage" style pictures made with the Fujifilm?
Better in Color or BW?

"Reportage" is a prejudicial word. Use that word and the reader instantly becomes a LIFE magazine editor shuffling off all that color junk to soft, lifestyle-oriented (bullshitty) LOOK magazine. And having said that, Linda looks perfect in the abstractions of grayscale, and ordinary, mundane and/or snapshot in the color images, despite the fact that I always prefer your color work.

BW, I love the grainy look a lot!
