Me and the cats and the van are currently in Vegas and we're having a great time - it's really cool to finally have a chance to celebrate. The kitties are being boarded at an excellent animal hospital while I attend my yearly author's conference. I feel like I had to crawl here a bit after these very rough few years. This series is very much a labor of love, and all six books have been written during one of the hardest periods of my life. I think things really took a turn for the better in June of this year, though, the peak of those difficult times has finally crested. The future, thus far, looks brighter.

I met up with Justin Thomas James and Jeff Hays here in Vegas. Soundbooth is at this conference in force, and we hung out and ate dinner and then went to karaoke and got gloriously drunk. Soundbooth has the manuscript in hand and is excited to start work on it. The audiobook for CiB should be ready Q1 of 2023.

Crowned in Black paperbacks and hardbacks will be in production this weekend. I'm going to try and figure out a way to get paper books sent to me on the road so I can ship them out to qualifying Patreon tiers.
