Right, I'd like to admit to something here. When these podcasts first began, I was quite disappointed with them. I had been a huge fan of the old mean bean machine episodes and was really excited by the prospect of new content in a similar vein, and while I still enjoyed those first few episodes, I was upset by all the things missing that I loved about the old podcast. I felt let down. Where was all the cruelty from Owen that I had come to admire and find so thrilling? Where was the sense of tension and fear that used to be omnipresent? The concept episodes, the controversial discussions of Nintendo products? Where had the gold standard, award winning Games Chat gone? And most of all, where were the stings? Where was Richie Morgan, admitting a deep seated desire to receive fellatio from an anthropomorphic animal? Or Richie gorging himself on chocolates during a lonely valentines day? or Richie, quite pathetically, stuttering over his own words during a serious discussion of yet another twitter controversy? I digress, suffice to say I was quite worried about the future of this podcast. I come to you now to say, with absolute certainty, this podcast has now surpassed the old one, both in quality, and cruelty. I've already mentioned my love of the golden trifecta, the combination of Owen, Gav and Richie, together, bound inseparably through time and space, but this recent addition of Guy "The Beast" Woodward? Almost too much for my small, pathetic brain to handle. A truly inspired decision, and my only gripe is that we didn't get to here any news about Guy's Father, who is perhaps my favourite character in the entire Mechagamezilla universe. Fellas, I'd pay more for this than I already do. Thank you.
