Possible Schedule Change - Feedback Requested

Hi, everyone!

I'm going to get right to the point: I'm way ahead of schedule for Victor of Tucson and Neon Dust (as far as delivering manuscripts go), but I am a little behind on Andy in the Apocalypse. I've been telling myself I can get an extra chapter done here and there, and while that's true, I'm already working every day, and I'm starting to feel it.

I started really thinking about my schedule and how I do things, and I have begun to wonder if there's a better way. Why do I work on three (four sometimes) stories at the same time? Wouldn't it make more sense to write one main book at a time, put everything I have into it, then start the next project in the queue?

How would that work? I suppose that, since I need to finish another Andy book first, I'll write a chapter for that book every day (with maybe a day or two off a week) until it's complete, then finish Victor 12, and finally complete Neon Dust 3. Sounds great--for me.

For my patrons who don't read one or more of those books, it would be less great. So, I figured I'd just sound things out with a little poll.

So here's a potential timeline:

So, it's kind of important to note that this has three benefits for me:

  1. I'm adding a day off per week in this schedule. I think I need it.

  2. I'll be able to get Andy done early, which is good for publication scheduling.

  3. I'll be able to focus on one story at a time and, therefore, forget fewer details and save my sanity.

Now, here's the deal: it's obvious what I want to do, but I understand that I lured you folks to this Patreon by releasing certain stories on an ongoing basis. If there are many of you who really hate this idea, I will suck it up and make this work, but I WILL be changing to a schedule like this (one or two books at a time, max) when VoT and ND are wrapped up.

So, please don't be afraid to cast your honest vote. If it seems like a significant percentage of you will feel frustrated, then I'll continue as normal until these three books are complete.

Multiple responses for yes and no because it helps me to understand what you all are thinking.

So in my case, I’m just here for Andy. Which means if you’re not releasing chapters for it, I’m not going to be subscribed, and only be a paid subscriber when you do - but if that means extra chapters per week when you are writing Andy, I’ll be more happy probably. Not sure if this helps, but I imagine my situation may be common for a few people (and it doesn’t really fit within the poll options). I would say though: just do what you want, if you’re getting burnt out you need to change the situation so it’s doable for you.

Do whatever makes it better for you. The books will come in due time.
