Harsh light.
Added 2022-12-26 08:30:00 +0000 UTCI like my pictures to be balanced, possibly with medium level of contrast and legibility in both dark and light areas.
So why an I always getting into troubles when I see a ray of sunlight entering from a window?
The contrast is never going to work in these conditions, because the sensor does not have enough latitude to showcase the entire spectrum.
You either have to choose to optimise the shadow areas, or the light areas, or find a balance that is going to ruin legibility in both of them...
You just can't win in this situation!
And still I constantly fall for this technical trap, because the photos I get are so different and strong, whatever is the compromise you have to accept.
I'm attracted to these pictures whilst I'm shooting, and also once I'm selecting the finished photos from my Archives.
The only moment when I do suffer is when I'm working on the files to try and make sense of this unmanageable contrast.

Ho Patron che fotografano da tutta una vita, ma che continuano a trovare spunti interessanti nel mio lavoro; altri che si sono avvicinati alla foto di nudo proprio grazie al mio esempio; e altri ancora che sono esclusivamente interessati alla bellezza delle modelle. Il web è interessante perché chiunque può utilizzare meglio che può il linguaggio che ritiene opportuno per esprimere quello che considera importante. Anche il tuo breve commento contiene un errore di italiano, ma non per questo devi smettere di commentare, perché dici cose corrette e il tuo contributo serve ad alimentare il dibattito.
