WISHES DO COME TRUE!!!!!!!!!! : The Eras Tour Documentary Is REAL!!!

I knew that lady wasn't just going to let the TTPD set disappear like it never happened at all...although I have to admit I was really starting to wonder if the Eras Tour Documentary was a mass hallucination we all came up with on our own, even in spite of how many times she was caught filming at the shows.

But thank GOD we were actually right for once. I knewww it had to be real, or at least that it was in the works at one point, I just started thinking maybe we had tabled it. BUT WE MADE IT JOEEEEEE!!!

I was personally thinking that Showgirl was the thing that "closed the book" on Eras, but now I realize that doing more content about Eras isn't pulling focus from Showgirl, not at all - I see now in her mind they're like intrinsically linked together. It makes sense; she made the album ON tour, she wrote the songs while she was in that mindset, and I do think even in spite of the record not necessarily being as much ABOUT eras as we had thought, she thinks it IS about Eras, just in a way we hadn't anticipated. So, to me, Eras and Showgirl are sort of a hand in hand thing in terms of her saying goodbye to Eras.

Eras was one of the biggest things in her career, if not THE biggest thing in her career, ever. Just an album or just a documentary or just a book wasn't going to cut it...she had to do it all before she'd be able to say goodbye! Personally I'm cheering, more more more more more more Eras content please!!!!!!!!!! Truly one of the most magical times to be a Taylor fan. I'm thrilled also that we get this during the Christmas season, it just feels so kismet.

Things I'm most excited for from the trailer :

1.) all the cameos!! Seeing Ed and Taylor backstage together gave me 2013 Red Tour memories and it's honestly the moment in the trailer I teared up....you guys know I'm like oddly sentimental about the Ed/Taylor friendship LMFAO, I think it just reminds me of that era of being a fan. Also, Sabrina, Florence, and even Gracie!!

2.) It appears she was filming at the shows Zack and I were at in London!! I've never once been present at the show she filmed for a concert movie so I'm kinda gagging for this

3.) TTPD set!!!!!

One thing I will say and this is more a comment about the era of streaming than it is anything Taylor is specifically doing.....whatever happened to the humble DVD?? Can you imagine an Eras Tour boxset with a CD that has all the live recordings of the songs including the cameo performances, some choice surprise songs, and then an accompanying DVD for the film itself?

One of my sort of millennial drums that I bang is that physical media is deeply important...owning physical media is about more than just being a deranged collector, it's about being able to literally hold the things you love the most. Both Eras Tour films now being relegated to streaming with no way to actually OWN them, meaning they're like under the stewardship of a streamer (specifically the horrible evil mouse) that can take them down whenever they want........well....that doesn't thrill me....but I do know this is the era we're living in, and this is just how things work. Everything is just inside of an app now. But enough doomsday posting IJBOL, I just wonder what you guys think about like Rep Tour, Folklore Longpond, and now all Eras stuff being sent to streaming instead of being something we can have physically?

For a gal who will release 18 variant vinyls of a 12 track album, it IS a bit crazy that she wouldn't be releasing a physical copy of the film, SURELY that's not in perpetuity?! I understand delaying the release so Disney gets the initial bulk of the streams & their initial massive pay day but surely they will we whipping out the blu ray with 3 additional discs in time for holidays 2026 lol 🤞

I agree with your physical media thoughts. And I don’t mind if they do both, or delay the physical release until 6 months the after the digital release to keep the streaming channel happy. I also don’t like how they can take the videos down at any time AND how they can modify and edit stuff after release and gaslight us that things have never been changed. I don’t buy a lot of TS merchandise but having physical copies of tours, and movies and documentaries etc. is a really good idea for avid fans, collectors and even for gift giving. Great idea!!

Who wrote this, if not Zack? (Writer says “It appears she was filming at the shows Zack and I were at in London!!”)

I'm saying Box Set for sure. I'm banging the millennial drum too

Living in world where physical media is almost a thing of the past is quite sad... Owning movies/music/books that no one can mess with (e.g. digitally alter movies) or remove them from your house (i.e. deleting books from your elibrary without notice) is more important than ever. I'm very sad I don't get to own a physical copy of the Eras Tour movie. But I guess the only way for her to get as much money as she thinks it's worth from Disney, is for Disney to keep their damn subscriptions going... Maybe after they make their money back, it will go to dvd. I deleted my disney+ account after the whole Kimmel debacle. Now I'll have to resubscribe in Dec so I can watch the documentary I've been waiting for since the show ended... Anyway, yes I'm ecstatic we get the docuseries and the last show, but boy wouldn't it be nice to be able to buy it just like we can buy vinyls and cds!

Ugh, I would kill for an Eras tour box set
