Patreon’s payment processing changes.
Added 2025-07-01 18:25:09 +0000 UTCSince Patreon decided not to inform anyone about this change that is being gradually rolled out and seems to have hit me this month. I guess it’s up to me to let people know about their confusing mess.
Instead of legacy patrons being charged on the 1st of each month like it has been since Patreon became a thing. Now they charge at different times based on time zone (because in their words, it is simpler and brings all the regions into parity. It doesn’t do that at all)
So now it seems any legacy patron outside America is charged on the last day of the month. Any in America could be charged between the afternoon of the 1st to sometime on the 2nd of the month.
Nothing else has changed, just the timing, but since it’s confusing some people, I figured it best to make this post.
