TRANSPARENCY: THE REASON YOUR JOURNEY MAY BE DIFFICULT (FINDOM/PRODOMME EDITION)

Today I bring you a transparency post. We often discuss the things you could be doing to get to the bag, educate yourself, grow within your journey, and network, but we often don't discuss the things you AREN'T doing. This post won't apply to everyone; it's more so generally speaking.

1. You have little content or no content at all 

There's nothing on your pages to entice subs or even give them idea of what it is you do. Instead, there may be tons of retweets of other pages instead of highlighting your own content. Being a findomme is about YOU. It's okay to be selfish here and mass tweet or mass post only your content. HAVING BALANCE IS KEY.

2. You signed up for Twitter and thought the tributes would just come flooding in.

Making one post a month won't cut and we can see if you're lazy. With a market like findom that is creating new Dommes almost daily, you have to make yourself present. Remember that being a Findomme is SW, and SW IS WORK. You get back what you put in and you're only doing yourself a disservice if you come in with unrealistic expectations.

3. You don't maximize your options

This means you're just sticking to one creative outlet. Go beyond Twitter; there are so many other websites (IWC, NF, OF, FET, AVN, etc). Different subs are on different platforms, not everyone strictly uses Twitter

4. You haven't built a voice for yourself

Who are you as a Domme? What's your persona? What kinks make absolutely jump for joy? What have you dove into to educate yourself about more (demos, classes, munches, etc). You need to sculpt your BDSM journey to be completely unique for you and you only. Ask yourself: is my heart in this?

5. You doubt yourself a lot

Trust me, I understand. It's natural to have second thoughts and want to go with your gut. Try doing some inner work on why self doubt may be holding you back, or figure out if you just might be in your head too much. If you are having doubts about a certain kink, however, listen to your intuition. You want to always stay safe and make sure that both consenting parties are also safe.

6. You're alienating yourself from the community

Listen babe - there are SO MANY of us within this "small world". There are newbies, veterans, admirers, allies, and so many people in between that are looking to connect, whether online or in person. Whenever you feel alone in your journey, don't hesitate to reach out to me or other SWers you are comfortable with. You never know who may give you that spark or new idea to take your journey down so many different paths.
