We've all heard of safe words when it comes to pleasure. Some see them as jokes (made in pop culture, music, etc), but in BDSM they are ESSENTIAL to any kind of play session. Safe words can make all the difference between a successful session and an unsafe session. The word you can use is up you, but nonetheless there needs to be AT LEAST one safe word.
In BDSM, the common safe words are aligned with the "stop light". For example:
Green = "I'm good; keep going; I like this; My body, mind, and emotions are accepting of this, etc." all positive reactions can be associated here between two consenting parties.
Yellow = "Slow down; proceed with caution, there's something I'm concerned about; take it easy, etc". You'll want to slow up any movements and watch your bottoms body language here.
RED = THIS MEANS COMPLETELY STOP. Do not contemplate on stopping or hesitate; stop right away. Check in immediately with your bottom to see what may have caused this reaction. You can also give them space, but still keep a close eye on them.
Also as a TOP, remember that safe words also can apply to you. Check on yourself during session to make sure you're doing good and feeling good. You can easily tire yourself out or drift in and out of Domme space if you're not focused. REMEMBER: YOU MATTER TOO.
