For client communication, especially for RT sessions, I recommend all communication to be carried out through Protonmail. Protonmail is an encrypted mail service that provides privacy between both parties. It is an app on both iPhone and Android.
I do not recommend long communication through social media platforms. Social media can be here today and gone tomorrow. It would absolutely suck to be discussing tribute, gifts, etc with someone and then suddenly lose your page!
Kik is also a great form of communication to use. It is also a message based app.
