TIPS FOR UPLOADING TO I WANT CLIPS

Uploading to IWC can be a complicated process when you first start out, as the site has a lot of fields and guidelines you have to follow when uploading. When you first create your account, you have to publish at least 5 clips to open your store and start earning. IWC is great for those who want to sell clips on the side for easy income as you are easily promoted on the front page once you upload a clip.

Here are some tips that have been useful for me when using I WANT CLIPS:

1. When filming your content, try to set a length of time that you want the clip to be beforehand.

This will help you to know what to film, how long to film it, and what to include. You will also price your clips based off the length of the clip. You can get a good idea of pricing by seeing what other content creators are charging, or you can choose your own price. A good rule of thumb is to do pricing ending in .99 for extra earnings.

2. Check out the 'Top Lists' to see what clips categories are most popular

This will help you potentially make more sales as you'll know what to tag your content. Be sure that your content matches up with what you're tagging - you don't just want to tag to be seen. The goal of IWC is to always have customers coming back to purchase.

3. Make sure that your SW social media is connected to your IWC

You can set this option by going to My Account > Social and connecting your Twitter. This will allow IWC to tweet for you automatically when you upload a clip, putting more eyes on your content. You can set it to tweet updates for new clips, when you get a tribute, when clips sell, etc.

4. Create thumbnails for your clips so that your page looks 'clean'.

Thumbnails can be appealing to the eye as they are graphics describing the nature of the clip. I simply create these through Canva by searching 'Youtube' thumbnails and inserting my photos and text. See examples below (quality is low because of screenshot):

5. If you're going to do content featuring a sub, you have to create a Performer Profile for them

This is a newly implemented rule on IWC. All other people in clips with you must be identified for you to upload the content, otherwise you will not be able to upload.

Take your time to build your clip store. It is also perfectly fine to have your clips on other websites. Remember, not every sub uses the same site.
