HOW I USE REDDIT TO GAIN NEW SUBMISSIVES
Added 2024-07-08 14:00:09 +0000 UTCReddit is a website that I've used in the past to gain knowledge on subjects, how to's, and overall browsing of different groups pertaining to movies or shows that I like. It has also, for me, been a great place to attract both finsubs and regular subs through posting in the many different groups pertaining to Femdom, Findom, BDSM, and Kink. There are plenty of Reddit selling guides out there (one of which is posted in the #resources chat in the Discord), but this is my personal guide on how I've used Reddit to work for me. Note: I am a casual Reddit poster - post as often as you see fit for your brand.
1. Creating Your Profile
Reddit allows adult profiles and content on their platform, so you don't have to worry about being banned for posting. Your account will be labeled as '18+ NSFW' so that those visiting your profile know this. When creating your profile, you can choose to have a picture of yourself or an avatar. Of course since I am face out, I have a photo of myself. on my profile.

You will see in the screenshot my post karma, comment karma, followers, and the day I joined. I joined 3 years ago but only began posting and taking Reddit seriously around March of this year (so I'm still learning with you all as well, but so far I've gotten some great tributes from the site in only 4 months!)
Your 'karma' on Reddit reflects your engagement. When you post or comment on other posts and others engage with it positively, it adds on to your karma. This is called an 'upvote'. Negative reactions are called a 'downvote'. Try not to receive too many downvotes. To join some 'subreddits' (groups on Reddit) you will need a certain amount of karma to begin posting in those groups. Each group has rule based on how much karma you need to have. You also gain followers through posting. THE KEY TO REDDIT IS ENGAGEMENT. DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM IF YOU ARE NOT GOOD AT ENGAGING/POSTING/COMMENTING.

When you post on to your own page, it gives you your own 'subreddit', starting with the letter 'u' then with your username following. These are posts that your followers or people who come visit your page will see. Your first pinned post on your page should include info about you and your content/tribute links. Use your Reddit page to post about yourself.
2. Finding and Navigating Groups
On Reddit, the groups are called 'subreddits'. These are groups you join pertaining to certain topics. Here are some of the groups I have joined in relation to this work:

Each group has different rules. You can find these rules by looking to the right of the page of the group (if using your laptop or desktop) and the top of the page (if using the phone app). Some groups won't allow you to post until you prove your identity or have a certain amount of karma. Here is an example of rules for the group 'Femdom'

3. Advertising
How you decide you want to advertise on Reddit is up to the groups you're in. On your page, you can post ads freely, but within groups, make sure you are following the rules. Some groups will allow you to make a post and then follow up with a comment that includes your links. Some will only let you advertise in the title of your post. It varies across the board. When you post, you're given the analytics for each post. I prefer posting gifs that I make in groups for better engagement. I use the app GIFMAKER to do this. Most of the subreddits don't allow the posting of video clips so you'll have to make GIFS. You will also have the tag the post with subjects that the group has premade. For example, this one was tagged under 'Degradation/Humiliation':

4. Gaining 'Reddit Karma'
Your success on Reddit is based on how engaging you are. The more you are seen engaging, the more attention you will attract to your page. One of my favorite groups to interact in is 'findomsupportgroup'. It's an overall community group where Findommes and finsubs discuss findom, support each other, post wins, and more. Here is an example of a post I made celebrating a tribute:

5. Communication with Interested subs in Your Inbox
When subs enter my inbox wanting to serve or tribute, I usually give them my tribute method or direct them to the pinned post on my page. Communication here is the same as any other site - be direct and don't entertain time wasters. You can block people on Reddit as well as you see fit.
As time goes on, I will be updating this post with more useful tips for Reddit that have helped me!
