WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO ‘OWN’ A SUB?
Added 2025-01-14 16:36:33 +0000 UTCThere will come a time in your Femdom career where you will be approached with the idea of owning a sub. This is something that isn’t to be taken lightly and if you are interested in owning subs, please note that it requires a lot of time, patience, care and understanding.
Not all subs deserve to be owned. It takes a special kind of sub for this commitment. Usually to figure this out a conversation has to be had with the submissive in question that wants to be owned. Personally before I decide I want to own a sub, I need atleast 6 months of consistent communication and servitude from then to see if they are up to the task of being owned. Ownership encompasses a lot of things such as daily tasks and tributes, sessions, particular arrangements, and dedication. A sub can’t serve you passively and be “owned”. They must dedicate their days to you.
When discussing ownership, highlight the following things:
1. The amount of time to be dedicated weekly
2. Is it long distance ownership or local ownership? Is this a sub you will be seeing in person or virtually?
3. Standard punishments for disobeying that are within both of your boundaries
4. Monetary contributions
5. Are they allowed to serve other Dommes while under your ownership?
As the Domme, you should also be ready for the task of ownership. If you feel that your schedule doesn’t allow you the time to dedicate to your sub, don’t jump into something you can’t commit to yourself.

Thank you so much for this post. I have one in New Zealand and we talk about terms tonight. With my schedule, I think it's best to only handle one sub at a time & they have to be overseas.
