(WIP) I need your feedback on an effect that i'm working on
Added 2023-10-16 17:00:10 +0000 UTCHi! I need your thoughts on a sorta of Dynamic bodypaint effect that I'm working on. Basically what I want to achieve is seeing the skeleton of the character painted on the skin as the character is moving, something like you'd see in the second picture.
Why not painting on it? With 3D the issues is that as the character is moving the painted on bone won't be visibile anymore, so I wanted a system where I'm able to see the bone from every perspective, without having to paint a new texture every time the character moves.
In the gif you can take the black cylinder as the character skin, and the white circles as ""ribs"" being dynamically painted on the character skin.
So please, I'd love to hear from you your opinions on it! I asked to some artists as well and they said it looks pretty good, so I'm confident on it!

2023-10-20 05:24:09 +0000 UTCYeah you're more than right! The idea I had in mind was a POV in the dark, so you won't see much much of the one whos giving it, but I'll surely work more on with that couple!
