Do you want to playtest my games before I release them?
Added 2024-03-18 18:09:18 +0000 UTCI am very close to finishing another small game, but one of the last steps that is very important to successful game creation is playtesting! Would any of you be interested?
So that we are on the same page, playtesting is where an audience is given a game (usually unfinished, although in this case the game will be mostly finished), and they are asked to play through it in order to give feedback on several different aspects of the game- such as which parts of the game were enjoyable, which parts were not, where the game could be improved, bugs or glitches encountered, etc.
I'm not sure if this is would be a cool permanent benefit I could keep for you who are graciously supporting me here on Patreon, but if it seems like a cool idea, I'll make it a benefit!
Let me tell you a bit about this game so that you can know what you are getting yourself into- This is an attempt at a horror/thriller game based on the old Disney animated film "Steamboat Willie". It is 2D with platformer-esque physics and is completely in black and white. The gameplay consists of moving across the limited area of your steamboat fixing areas of the ship that are breaking while avoiding hellish creatures that seek to kill you along the way. The last post I made here on Patreon showed part of the process of making one of the monsters that can be encountered in this game.
The game is not yet ready for playtesting, but it is getting very VERY close!
If you are interested in trying out this game and potentially giving me some feedback on it, you can send me a message here on Patreon or just tell me in a reply to this post! And I wont be upset if no one is interested. We will just keep working on finding what benefits you guys would be interested in seeing here 😁 You guys are awesome!

Aw thanks a ton! I'm hoping to add to the intrigue, so I am eager to hear what you think of it when I can get it out to you. I'll let you know when I can get a key for you to try it out!

2024-03-19 16:09:02 +0000 UTCI'd love to try it out! Games that use the concept of these old-time cartoons, especially old Disney, are so interesting to me and seeing what you've already shown with some of your designs is really intriguing.
