2025-02-08 04:05:43 +0000 UTCZeke: “I’m about to reveal the truth, Eren!” Eren: “Truth? I’ve been living it for years. You’re late to the party, fam. Zeke: [looks around, realizes he’s been following the wrong timeline the whole time]. anyways what an episode jeez, This episode completely redefines everything we thought we knew about AOT. The way Memories of the Future reveals that Eren was the one pulling the strings all along is just insane. It’s not just about seeing memories, Eren actively manipulated the past by influencing every Attack Titan before him, including his own father. One of the wildest details is how Grisha only saw what Eren wanted him to see. When he hesitated to kill the royal family, it was Eren who pushed him to do it. And when Grisha finally realized the full scope of Eren’s plan, he broke down and begged Zeke to stop him. Imagine how horrifying that vision must have been for someone like Grisha, who spent his life consumed by hatred for Marley, to think that Eren’s actions were too extreme even for him. The time paradox hits even harder when you realize Eren was never truly free. When he kissed Historia’s hand, he saw everything, his past, his future, his own manipulation of Grisha. That’s why he changed so much in Season 4. He understood that the future was already written, that every moment was leading him toward an inevitable conclusion. And those tiny moments, Sasha saying "meat," Mikasa hesitating, only confirmed to him that nothing could be changed. Also, the scene where Grisha "sees" Zeke wasn’t a literal meeting. Grisha was experiencing the past through Eren’s future memories, like watching himself through a camera. Eren allowed him to "see" Zeke, not because they were physically connected, but because Eren chose to send that memory back to him. That moment wasn’t just for Grisha, it was Eren’s way of giving Zeke closure.

2025-01-31 21:47:40 +0000 UTC+ An important thing to notice here is that Eren didn't share all of his memories with his dad. Only what he needed to get Grisha to do what he wanted. Eren manipulated him into doing what HE wanted. All the attack titans share memories with each other but the future titan can CHOOSE what he lets the others see, therefore manipulating them.
