The man who destroyed Dantae's "house" and killed his mother and sister on that land is the father of Baek Junki. He's the one who was murdered by Dantae in Japan when he tried to rob his safe. That land was owned by Sooryeon's father so Dantae thought he was the one behind the reason why his mom and his sister died, that's why he's so fixated on that land and also why he had to get married to Sooryeon by all means to get revenge.
