2025-05-15 06:19:13 +0000 UTCone thing I've noticed in first frost is that they use multiple reflections, through mirrors, windows or glass doors, this seem to emphasize the emotional distance between characters of highlight their sense of isolation...it can also symbolise how disconnected the character is from themselves, and even as an aesthetic choice it's really nice 🥹

2025-05-15 00:21:01 +0000 UTCYes! I think it’s also a call back to the flashback they show of her aunt saying “she doesn’t deserve the good chicken soup” when Sang Yan was eavesdropping so he emphasizes that this chicken soup was especially for her.

2025-05-14 23:03:01 +0000 UTCI believe he gave her soup because of her dad. When she visited her father’s grave, she brought his favorite chicken soup. By giving her the same soup, he was silently acknowledging the significance of the day and showing her that he was there for her. His support came through in small, thoughtful gestures—like quietly closing the door when the wind rushed in—giving her space to grieve without having to say a word. That was what I got from that scene but I may be wrong.🫰🏽💜
