2025-08-03 09:18:13 +0000 UTCPakistan, India & Bangladesh were one country India also known as Bharat or Hindustan, but partition caused a lot of bloodshed cuz Bangladesh & Pakistan only wanted muslims so if you didn't run away and you were another religion they would kill you. There were a lot of communal riots. Earlier everyone was allowed to be everywhere, but once Pakistan & Bangladesh formed their countries, hindus, sikhs, christians etc were not welcome, people lost their lives or became refugees fleeing despite what their status was earlier. If you remember the movie Kalank it was also based in the partition era, where it was one country. Also Punjabi, Sindhis etc are communities in India (now also in Pakistan, difference is if they are in Pakistan they are muslim, in India there are various religions) You can read my comments under ep 1 & this to the gang ๐
