Thanks for the feedback on this, Any books/references you personally recommend? As a beginner, I’m trying to find resources to base my anatomy off of

2023-01-07 15:20:55 +0000 UTCWhy thank you! And regarding anatomy, of course I could say that I look at reference but everyone already knows that. It changes so much from person to person that I do it differently almost every time I draw someone or something, like how Judy and Rouge look completely different in not only their “sizing” but how their stomachs look and how their heads are shaped, their hands, their thighs, etc. I also let my style do most of the work (I.E. I chill out when I draw) and sometimes this doesn’t yield the best result but that’s when I use reference! TLDR; I look at reference, but I don’t ever try to copy it exactly unless I’m doing an exact study. I just try to get a feel for how it works and is built together, like how you need to know how a car is built before you try to build one yourself or else it’ll just be a muddled mess- and at the same time, knowing how a Toyota is built will allow you to make your own unique creation based off their design!
