Phantom Touch Cover (WIPs)
Added 2023-02-19 21:00:02 +0000 UTCPT's cover went through a few iterations, though the concept was locked in around December when we began drafting the comic ^^
The first WIP was done WAY back in July 2022 when we first came up with the story! The idea for this one was to have the cover half in the real world and the other half in the virtual. It also features some very early concepts of Lyra and Vulk, who've maintained most of their characteristics in their final designs!
The remaining WIPs are of our final idea: turning the comic title into the actual title of the game she plays! I've never seen anyone do something like this before, so we had to jump on the idea! I sketched out the base concept; then my husband sent me his thoughts on how the cover should be laid out. After that, it was just using references and refining until we finalized it!
Fun Fact: I bought both a new-in-box PS5 & Xbox one game to use as a reference for the plastic wrap effect! One of the games was the newest Jojo game, which went to game pass a week after buying it. Thankfully, I was able to return the game since I still had the plastic wrap on it ^^
