2023-11-25 22:05:55 +0000 UTCshotaro has been dancing since he was 5 years old, he said he has practiced a lot of styles but mostly hip hop, he used to be an honorary student of EXPG (on of the best japanese art academy), he was doing tours as a dancer for many japanese artist, he was coreographing since a young age and also being leader of crews for dance comptions, he even was a dance teacher, all this when he was less than 19 years old, then he got accepted by SM and they waited for him to finish his contract with an artist (he was working as a backup dancer for GACKT I believe), then in 2020 he arrived in SM and korea and not even a month later, he was selected to debut in NCT, he didn't even knew anyone and he hasd met sunghcan like 1 time before being officialy added to the 2020 NCT line, he said wonbin was his first friend and that is why he was so happy to debut with him. Lastly, Shotaro is not an idol that learned how to dance, but a professional dancer that became an idol.
