I think this drama is a good representation of the power of the masses, which can sometimes be beautiful and sometimes ugly. Anyway, whenever I watch episodes 15 and 16, I can't bear the tears...omg.... I'm rooting for Kate, who is studying hard. But I miss her very much.... Thanks for another reactionsโผ๏ธโผ๏ธ๐

I mean, in the drama we could see Lan Zhan saying Wangxian thru his lips + they never really mentioned it, only in the book. But for the realization part in ep 2, yup, I did spoil without realizing HELP ! ๐คฃ๐

2024-03-01 00:35:59 +0000 UTCI have to admit I am not very fond of madam Yu due to her abuse of Wuxian but I feel like it's owed to her to give some details on her character. Disclaimer: These facts are mentioned in the book and not as clearly in the show even though they tried previously so these are not spoilers whatsoever, so do not worry. Yu Ziyuan is from the Yu clan and they had been pressuring Jiang Fengmian (Jiang Cheng's dad) to marry her for a while. However, there were always rumors that he was in love with Cangse Sanren (Wuxian's mom) and had fallen for her but then she eloped with Wei Changze who is Wuxian's dad. Also the rumors that he loved Wwx's mother and wanted her to be with him are implied to be very true in the novel. After this, Jiang Fengmian finally caved and agreed to marry Madam Yu who is his current wife. Due to the circumstances, Yu Ziyuan has never let go of the idea that her husband loved Cangse Sanren and wished he'd married her instead; making herself the second and unwanted choice. She mentioned the rumors before but it can be confusing so I wanted to clarify. Their relationship got even worse when Jiang Fengmian brought Wei Wuxian home, and things were even worse when more rumors came that he is even the love child of Jiang Fengmian and Cangse Sanren. Yu Ziyuan deeply hates Wei Wuxian not only because of his better skills than Jiang Cheng but also because of this jealousy. She also believes the same way Jiang Cheng does, which is that his father loves Wwx as a son more than his biological son. She once again sees this as him hating her and loving Wei Ying's mom. This is why she tries to insist that Wuxian should act more like a servant and stay in his place than be on the level of his siblings. I do feel sad though because there is no mother figure for Wei Wuxian and so she is kind of the only one in a weird way (There is Yanli but she is his sister). I wish that she could say some nice words to him even if only once. I also don't think it's fair to say that the Wens coming to Lotus Cove was Wwx's fault. The other option was to let Wen Chao kill people, so can anyone expect him to have done nothing? That's crazy. Plus the Wens would have come to Lotus Cove eventually I bet because they clearly love to eliminate and attack other clans. While I cannot ignore Madam Yu's abusive nature, I absolutely respect her. She is such a powerful woman and seeing her beat up Lingjiao (Wen Chao's annoying girlfriend) was so satisfying. I wish she hadn't attacked Wen Zhuliu but her anger got the best of her. Also I just want to say, I miss Lan Zhan and his intensely blank facial expressions. ๐ Sorry for how long this was, I just really wanted to give the explanation on Madam Yu!

Just wanted to say somethings about Jiang cheng's mum whipping wei wuxian and why she kept on saying he is the reason trouble came to their family.. Even though its not exactly true, but in a way it is.. Think of it this way, in real life when big criminals like mafia lords are captured, it is usually because of small crimes like tax evasion or having possession of a small bit of drugs, not for the thousand other bigger crimes they committed like murder, kidnapping etc.. so the wens are like sniffing dogs, waiting for the smallest reason to attack the other clans, and wei wuxian going around poking his head other people's business, being sarcastic and standing out makes it easy to be a target... So in a twisted way, he did bring trouble to the Jiang clan by standing out too much.. though to be honest I think the Wens would just look for another reason to attack, but may be not as soon.

The difference between ep 3 to ep 15 is really crazy. Because, at first it was so bubbly, cute, fun, happy, had a good laugh with Wei Wuxian, but then he gradually lost his smile ๐ First, I love the way Jiang Cheng's mom slap that woman.
