There’s even a part later in the book where he worries abt his feelings for Lan Zhan bc he thinks lwj doesn’t want him too. He actually feels guilty at some points when he thinks lwj is upset abt the idea of being in a relationship with wwx and he like apologizes or basically tells him to ignore when people imply they’re into each other but then wwx will be sad in his head thinking that lan zhan minded those comments a lot. Ppl always talk about lwj’s love for wwx but wwx love for lan zhan is so adorable. He’s so bad at reading feelings. The novel is so good and I hope they translate it soon so you can read!! I also wanna mention that in the untamed they changed the order of some scenes. So like for example the “what does it mean to like someone” scene actually happens later in the book than in the show so they’ve changed some things around.

2024-04-02 15:54:55 +0000 UTCIn the novel Wei Wuxian actually never knew about Lan Wangji's feelings, even after he died and came back 💀😭🤣 He was still blind about it and never realize. Because to him, that's just impossible since he always believed that Lan Zhan's hated him. The only moment he realize, it was at the end of the novel, when Lan Xichen actually talk to him about Wangji's feelings just after the bathtub scene (those who read the novel know exactly what I'm talking about) 🙊🙈 Note : It was the most sad, hilarious, funny, beautiful, embarrassing moment of the novel I'd say 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣 Even THAT guy (I'm not gonna say his name, it's a spoiler), was speechless and shocked by what Wei Wuxian told to Lan Zhan after he knew about his feelings 🤣🤣🤣🤣

And so if he is talking about LWJ, does that mean he already knows how LWJ feels about him ?

Also about Wei Wuxian's question, I think the fandom takes it as him talking about LWJ most likely but I've seen some people say he's asking to figure out why his sister likes Jin Zixuan. (Since you haven't read the novels, I barely included any big novel details but I did mention some so you can pretend this comment doesn't exist if you don't wanna see anything about the novel!) If he is in fact asking for himself though (which is the common belief), then he's talking about LWJ because he specifies that he means "that kind of like" which is the romantic kind and there's not really anyone else in the show he would like in that way. The closest people to him besides Lan Zhan are Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng but even if they are not blood-related, they all view each other as if they basically were. Like she is his sister and Jiang Cheng is his brother. So besides them and Lan Zhan, there's no one he's really around as much to consider as a possibility and so it can only be Lan Zhan. Plus I think a big point that I noticed is that Wei Wuxian had just had his uncomfortable conversation with Lan Xichen about Lan Wangji (in the novels he actually spoke to Lan Wangji tho and gave him flowers randomly lol) where we saw Lan Xichen basically say, "Wangji is my brother, don't be self-centered and act in certain ways because it'll hurt the people who care about you" and in the novels Lan Xichen is notably protective over Wangji's romantic feelings for Wei Wuxian and worried about him getting hurt. Then Wei Wuxian tells his sister "Isn't liking someone like haltering your own neck?" He's expressing this difficulty in having feelings for a person and he's been mostly having issues with Lan Zhan in ways that could relate to that sentence. So I and many of the other fans kind of just automatically assume "Oh it's obvious he's talking about Lan Zhan." And in the novels Lan Wangji is the only person Wei Wuxian has ever really liked romantically or loved and this scene is in the novels too and so I usually believe it was certainly about their cute and complex relationship.😂 In the same chapter (I believe 71), right after the conversation, Wwx stares up at the stars and starts to recall memories of Lan Zhan as well.

Him breaking into the forbidden chamber of the library pavillon when he know he's gonna get punished if he gets caught is just a little glimpse of what he could do to help Wei Wuxian. Also, I've always wondered whether the question Wei Wuxian asked his sister about 'someone liking the other so much, it was a weakness' was about him or Lan Wangji or her (I haven't read that part of the book yet since the book hasn't come out in French). Watching this episode, even if sad in some parts, it really is a calm one. Ah is my heart is going to withstand the roller-coaster of emotions that it's gonna go through in those coming episodes. Thank you always for the great reaction. It's always a pleasure to watch you guys !! 🫰 🇷🇪

2024-04-01 19:05:53 +0000 UTCUncle Lan is trying to keep Lan Zhan away from Wei Wuxian because he thinks he's a bad influence essentially. In the beginning, he always thought Wei Wuxian wasn't a great influence but he trusted in Lan Zhan's ability to keep his ideals. However, now with Wei Wuxian's demonic cultivation and Lan Zhan seeming not so confident in his ideals, he doesn't like what he's seeing and wants Lan Zhan to stay away. We saw how Lan Zhan has been questioning the things he's always believed in the past few episodes and Uncle Lan has sensed that too although I'm not sure to what degree. Also even besides Wei Wuxian's cultivation I wanna point out that it's very clear in the novels that Lan Qiren (Uncle Lan) does not want Lan Zhan to be in love with Wei Ying and doesn't want them to be together. And from the way he reacts and speaks, it's not even really because of Wei Wuxian being a man, he just doesn't want Lan Zhan with Wei Ying SPECIFICALLY LOL. Also on a side-note, Jiang Cheng actually is also not big on Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan's relationship and the author even said in an interview that when they first went to Gusu for teachings, since then he didn't like Wwx talking to Lan Zhan because he always felt that when Wwx specifically talked to Lan Zhan he was "playing cute" and she said it sent shivers down his spine to hear Wwx talk that way. She said he didn't know what Lan Zhan and Wwx's relationship meant at the time but what he did know was that Wwx would talk to him (JC) like "hahahahaha f*** you Jiang Cheng, you idiot. I dare you to come over to fight me hahahhaah!" But with Lan Zhan it was like, "aiyo~ Lan Zhan, Second Master Lan. Look at me, no? You won't look at me? Then why don't you have some loquats? No? heh-heh, I knew you weren't gonna eat it. I was just trying to trick you, I wasn't going to give you any~". The difference in how he spoke to Lan Zhan sent Jiang Cheng into another dimension according to her. 😂 So, I don't know if you remember in the beginning but we saw Jiang Cheng constantly getting annoyed when Wei Wuxian would treat Lan Zhan in any special way or talk to him. 😂 Also that scene where wwx asks his sister what it means to like a person is so cute but who does he think he's fooling? 💀 Like sir, we all know why you're asking. He thinks he's slick. And episode 26 has a few muted parts on youtube. I can see the subtitles but idk if you can see them still when you download? Episodes 27-30 are all good though.

2024-03-31 14:36:41 +0000 UTCDuring these few last eps, one thing i think about is that our Wei Ying is lost. He is standing on cliff, quite psychologically. He is very lost, inside him is a void. After everything he always had be doing something and to keep it moving. First it was protecting his siblings, then it was swearing vengeance, then finding a solution for Jiang Cheng… and then again his entire focus was on just surviving. And after that, Sunshot campaign. Now what is this stillness and boredness that is driving him mad. In front of everyone's eyes he has turned evil. So he continues to ask Lan Zhan "can someone really turn evil?", " is there really just and wrong, only black and white, do you believe me?" " How can you help me if you don't believe me" " I won't become you like Wen Rouhan" Wei Ying is so eager to hear lan zhan to say " you won't become evil, you will survive, i trust you" However instead all he hears is doubt from Lan zhan. And Wei Wuxian doesn’t understand that someone could value him just for himself rather than as a weapon or an asset or a shield, and could for that reason alone, not want to lose him. All he hears instead is a Gusu lan of 3000 rules telling him what is right and wrong and does not realize Lan zhan's actions to save him from himself, the wei wuxian who no longer fears death and does not value his own life. So he starts mocking lan zhan for trying to help him saying " are u learning a new melody again, your never give up, how stubborn". Wei ying is once again pushing lan zhan away and isolating himself once again, back to his secrets and trauma. Its almost as if Wei Ying realize, " this is path you have choose, its lonely and why are surprised it turned out like this" . Sunshot campaign is over yet Wei Wuxian is still standing on a cliff. But momentarily as we saw in this ep with his senior sis, he goes back to his true self. Oh how I miss our smiling and carefree Wei Ying <3

For clarification, Lan Zhan is studying cleansing music to help Wei Wuxian with the resentment energy in his mind and body that's why he wants to study in the forbidden library chambers, but his uncle doesn't want Lan Zhan to get entangled with him. one of the greatest rules for the Lan Clan is that everything is set in order, there right and wrong, good and bad, black and white and Lan members should always uphold the good and right side of things. His Uncle has heard of what Wei Wuxian has done and doesn't want Lan Zhan to involve himself with him because now Wei Wuixan is on the wrong side of cultivation. Essentially, he will tarnish Lan Zhan's image, but Lan Zhan loves Wei Ying too much to back down. That's why he gave him the task to fix the books his brother took when escaping to occupy his time and not let him study more music.
