2024-05-08 19:32:41 +0000 UTCSo in the original story (novel and other adaptations) Wei Wuxian is in fact in Mo Xuanyu's body and looks different, however in the untamed he looks the same as he did before. The reason he's wondering how Lan Zhan recognized him was because in that scene, wwx was wearing a mask and it had been 16 years so he was shocked Lan Zhan recognized him right away. But if he takes the mask off, everyone will know he is actually Wei Wuxian because in the drama he still looks like himself. Which is why Lan Zhan told him to put the mask on before seeing Nie Huaisang because otherwise he would've been recognized. The reason he doesn't wear the mask around the juniors (the teenage characters) is because 16 years ago, none of them knew him, so by seeing his face, they won't automatically know he is WWX. But anyone from his past life like Jiang Cheng, Lan Zhan, Zewu Jun, etc would know right away that Wei Wuxian is back if he had no mask. No one else seemed to recognize Wei Wuxian off the bat, so it's driving him crazy how Lan Zhan was able to recognize him when no one else could. Also should I keep checking the youtube episodes for issues or is there going to be a permanent switch to the other platform? Either is good, I just want to ask so that I know if I should keep checking them or not. :) On another note, this episode was so cute, I think it won't surprise anyone at this point that I love seeing Wangxian moments. Lan Zhan giving Wei Ying the piggyback ride was so sweet and I also loved the shifts in their dynamic that you guys also noticed, like him constantly backing up Wei Ying and being okay with him grabbing his sword and doing other things. Can't wait for episode 36 reaction and discussion! I'm so excited haha. Also the best way to recognize Lan Sizhui and Lan Jingyi is just to go by this: Lan Sizhui is the teenage Lan member who speaks the most, Lan Jingyi is his best friend who speaks the second most and often looks annoyed haha.

Not to mention Lan Wangji was drunk during that scene, so Wei Wuxian thounght he took advantage of lan zhan drunk state and ASSUME LAN ZHAN IS DISGUSTED since he didn't think Lan Wangji would do the same things while sober.

2024-05-08 17:12:38 +0000 UTCif u r wondering how did lan zhan give wei ying flute ?? lan zhan after wei ying died store things for wei ying , in hope that he would return and need this things. this things were storing , 12 jars of emperor's smile in a secret cubby under the floor in his room and re-carving the bamboo flute and giving it back to him. Lan zhan took Wei ying's flute and was adjusting it (changing the hole sizes) so it would play better. there are many other things he did but it might be spoiler.

2024-05-08 16:59:22 +0000 UTChahaha, I was just wondering whether it'd be fine for me to comment on the next ep as well so thanks for that π also, the drinking scene in the novel involves Lan Zhan suddenly wanting to take a bath with Wei Ying's help in scrubbing him, which results in a broken bathtub and... an interesting continuation of the night. Let's just say, their miscommunication the morning after is quite bad :') Thanking your best friend (you're secretly in love with) for hooking up with you (without knowing they're also secretly in love with you) is never a good move.

One, there was a tradition in China where, when a man and a woman wanted to get married, they gift a rooster and a hen. So it's like a marriage proposal. Wei Ying and Lan Zhan are both guys, so instead, he gave him two roosters. Basically, he's trying to propose. Two, when Wei Ying was still in Cloud Recesses, he and Jiang Cheng and a bunch of others went out to steal chickens for some meat because they got tired of the vegetarian bland meals. Wei Ying invited Lan Zhan, but he refused to go. Now, he wants to do all these things with Wei Ying, including going out to steal chickens apparently.......

Guys just a suggestion after watching the UNTAMED can you watch the FATAL JOURNEY is the spin off of the UNTAMED and it will give you a deeper background of Nie Huaisang and his big brother.

Just WangXian together makes my heart flutter. Remember the story of Xue yang well now. Xue yang was caught by Song Lan and Xiao Xingcheng after he massacred the Chang clan and then he disappeared. When brought to justice, the only Chang survivor withdrew his confession and then was killed by Xiao Xingcheng's sword?/?? I smell foulplayyyyy..

2024-05-08 16:33:03 +0000 UTCYo guys, that live came out of nowhere but I'm already so excited for the next one (might even actually turn on my mic and camera lol) π Also, I had the best intention to workout but I guess I'll do that in *checks video length* an hour and 16 mins π There we have it, ladies and gents, one of the most legendary moments in the history of WangXian: the piggyback scene. Did yall notice Yibo and Xiao Zhan breaking character at 07:48? They were both smiling and I'm so glad they kept that shot in the final cut! Also their whole conversation while Lan Zhan was carrying Wei Ying was so gentle and wholesome, I cannot γ γ And then back in the inn, we see another major change in Lan Zhan's character. Whereas before he openly disapproved of Wei Ying's drinking and scolded him for it, now he brings him liquor without even being asked to. That's a testament to the fact that he already completely accepts Wei Ying's free-spirited, fun-loving nature, disregarding his own strict upbringing. The way love changes people, am I right? ;) There's just too many memorable moments in this episode and it just keeps getting sweeter! I love how, despite the censorship, you can clearly feel the deep emotional connection between our boys in the subtle way Xiao Zhan and Yibo portray it, especially non-verbally through their body language and the way they look at each other. Phenomenal actors, really. Poor Nie Huaisang, the way he was fanning himself more and more aggressively as he progressively got more agitated was kinda funny, ngl. I still feel him tho, our boys were really asking a lot there (The other trace of evil spell Wei Ying was talking abt are the four scars on his forearm that Mo Xuanyu gave him when he resurrected him, representing the four ppl Wei Ying should kill for revenge) YES, Lan Zhan really took a shot of liquor voluntarily for the first time!!! And lemme tell yall, next episode is Something π«’
