I can't believe we've reached this point in our mdzs/the untamed journey. Before I talk about our journey as a whole, I want to talk about episode 50 briefly. I loved your reactions to this final episode and I felt all the emotions with you guys even thought I have already watched this all a million times. I like when Goodluck said it looked like wangxian was walking down the aisle because in the novel, wangxian go back to cloud recess and wei wuxian becomes a part of the lan clan by marriage to lan zhan. They live together and are very happy together. Also Trish, I felt you girl when you reacted to Wen Ning and Lan Sizhui interrupting wangxian's talk. LIKE YALL PLEASE, give us A MOMENT TO SPEAK. I was sad to see Wen Ning and Wei Ying part ways but I think Wen Ning wants to live his own life now. He loves Wei Ying and is so incredibly loyal to him, but by doing so, his life revolves around wei wuxian. He spends most of the drama protecting wei ying or helping him, even before he became what he is now. Finding out Wen Yuan is alive as Lan Yuan - in my opinion - made him realize that there is still hope for him to have his own life. He lost everything before and all the wens died basically; whether good or bad. I think sometimes, our memories as a fandom of the wen clan are so overshadowed by the evil doers, that we forget that there were many innocent and good people in the clan and it is painful to wen ning that his whole clan fell. Now he's moving forward to a life that revolves around himself and not wei ying. He's always been with someone (except when he was unconscious with the nails in his skull) whether it was his sister wen qing or wei wuxian, now he'll be able to be independent and do his soul searching if needed. Also your reactions when wangxian was separating was so relatable. I remember a past reactor I watched before seeing that part and being like "this is bullshit" and then he thought they were back together and was like "aw this is so beautiful" and then when they separated again he said "nevermind, this is still bullshit". To ease your minds, the idea is that wei wuxian DID leave for a while but then they did end up meeting again when Lan Zhan called his name and Wei ying turned around and smiled. Its implied and assumed by most of the fandom that that was the permanent reunion; they will stay together now. So it is a happy ending. Wangxian is together, and they're definitely together in the novel, filling our - and Lan Qiren's/uncle lan's - minds and eyes with romance and trauma left and right, how beautiful lol. I think almost everyone alive had a happy ending in the end except for Zewu Jun who lost Jin Guangyao ( who he WAS gonna die with by the way!! ) and Lan Qiren who has to deal with wangxian's relationship for the rest of his life. Looking back at the beginning of the series, I think the last thing Uncle Lan expected was for his prized and perfect nephew to fall in love with the #1 troublemaker who visited his clan for education lol. Uncle Lan was always sending Wangji to oversee Wei Wuxian's punishment and I'm like bro you basically fostered the basis of this whole love story. This whole show has been a trip, but one thing that will always remain a mystery to me, is that random scene in one of the first episodes when Lan Zhan, Wei Ying, and Nie Huaisang are in town together and the flower petals start falling from the sky. Nie Huaisang just starts staring at Lan Zhan and basically talks about how elegant and beautiful he is while he checks him out and Wei Wuxian is like, "wtf-...but I agree." Like Nie Huaisang explain yourself boy. Every single time i rewatch this show I'm just like WHAT IS THAT ABOUT. These are the REAL QUeSTIONS. But anyways, this has been a beautiful journey with all of you. I genuinely enjoyed all of your reactions and am so happy you guys watched this together. To this day wangxian's relationship truly gets to me so deeply. I think the show is ultimately both a dramatic action story and a romance. From very early on, Lan Wangji developed feelings for Wei Wuxian and while it isnt the only reason, Lan Zhan's love for wei ying fueled so many of his actions and sections of the story. I think his love for Wei Ying is also one of the biggest reasons why he's my favorite character (although wei ying is right after him). It takes an incredible amount of emotional exhaustion and torment to love someone in a position like wei ying's. Lan Zhan was scared endlessly throughout the story that something would happen to wei wuxian. He never stopped caring about him once he started. Even if it came across as annoying sometimes to wei wuxian, he always did things he truly believed would help wei ying and cared about him more than himself. I think sometimes its easy to overlook how tiresome it is to be so relentless for the sake of someone else's well-being when your good intentions aren't received in the best way. Even during wangxian divorce eras, he was trying to help wei ying. His devotion doesn't just show that he loves wei wuxian, it shows how incredibly resilient and strong he is as a human being and that is why I love Lan Zhan. He's so strong that it's almost scary. I respect him so much and i actually love that he isn't a perfect person because it makes him feel real. Lan Zhan has his share of issues, such as his similarities to his father and his tendency to almost follow the same path as him sometimes, and those issues make him 1000 times more interesting. As for Wei Ying, gosh I love that knucklehead. Wei Wuxian is a beautiful but tortured soul. But to be honest, sometimes I forget that his life was always hard somehow. He's so happy go lucky that it's easy for me to forget that even before he lost his core, he lost his parents young, lived on the streets while fighting with dogs for food, and then mistreated by madam yu as he grew up. It's incredibly admirable that he's able to seem like the happiest person in the room when other's lives have been far easier at those earlier points. I think Wei Wuxian was always going to have a seed of sadness because of his life experiences and falling in love with Lan Zhan was a beautiful thing that happened to him. In the novel, it is even more evident how incredibly happy Lan Zhan makes Wei Ying. Even before he realized he was in love with lan zhan, he enjoyed his presence and being around Lan Zhan brought him so much joy which we can see in the show to a degree as well. But when Wei Ying realizes his feelings for lan zhan, it becomes evident in the novel how incredibly important lan zhan is to wei ying. He brings his a happiness that no one else could and Im genuinely happy that wei ying could have someone who makes him feel that way. Wei Ying has suffered so much from the loss of his parents, then Madam Yu and Jiang Fengmian, then the wens, and even his senior sister. When I first watched the show, I remember feeling overwhelmed because the suffering felt like it would never end. It was like a bad thing would happen to wei ying, and then another thing, then another thing, and more and more just piling on top. Wei Ying is a truly good person. A good person who made mistakes yes, but a good person frl. I'm sorry that Mo Xuanyu died to bring Wei Ying back but I'm so happy he got a second chance at life even if he was brought back for someone else's revenge. Because now that the revenge is over, he gets to live on for himself and have almost what's like a fresh start. This will always be one of my favorite shows and wei wuxian and lan wangji will always have enormous places in my heart along with other beloved characters; senior sister, wen ning, wen qing, lan sizhui, lan jingyi, jin ling and even characters I have more interesting relationships with such as Jin Zixuan and Jiang Cheng, plus many more I have not listed. I can't wait to watch the untamed/mdzs contents from now on with you guys whatever those may be and once again, enjoy your well deserved break. I've loved our journey together. <3

I love when A Yuan revealed that he was the little child that Wei Wuxian had saved 16 years ago. Lovely storytelling. Lovely acting. Beautiful music. Beautiful sets. And a happy ending to my favorite character of all time, Wei Wuxian!

Although this is my ten times to watch it, it’s still so attractive, amazing , and charming. The characters bring me a lot of laugher and crying every time. I even bought full set of novels to know the original storyline better. So many thanks to the author 墨香铜臭(Mò xiāng tóngchòu) for gifting us this masterpiece and the best characters I’ve ever seen. I think Wei Ying has always known that Nie Huaisang isn’t as dumb as he pretends to be but just let him be, like yes he was lazy and didn’t like to study but his memory was great when it came to poems and things he’s interested in and he’s been a sneaky little guy since his teenage days. Don’t forget that he was the one who was able to smuggle corn books into freaking Cloud Recesses and never got caught and later, he was able to escape the Wen indoctrination camp without getting hurt. So I believe that Wei Ying connected the dots the fastest because duhhh he’s a genius himself but also because he didn’t really doubt Nie Huaisang’s genius and passion. I especially love the last scene where Nie Huaisang was picking up Jin Guangyao’s dirty hat and then looked at his bloody fingers. Huaisang’s actor said in an interview that before that scene, Huaisang never had to personally dirty his fingers like dimple guy because as the second young master of the Nie and Nie Mingjue’s beloved little brother, he was always protected and hidden far away from all the blood and gore from the war and politics. His big brother went through so much trouble to make sure he was strong and could protect himself but still be able to keep his playful innocence but at the end, even he had to dirty his hands for revenge. I can’t believe we finished all 50 episodes already. I feel like it took such a long time to watch everything but at the same time it went by so quick. Thank you guys so much for always being so positive, open-minded and entertaining. I signed up for Patreon literally just because you guys started the Untamed reactions even though I could never quite get myself to do so before. There are so many other YouTubers with such great content on their Patreon but man, who wants to pay money to watch something. But here I am and sacrifices have been made🥲 I am so excited for all the Untamed related contents and TikToks and I hope you guys will also react to the 2 movies “The living dead” and “Fatal journey”. The first one focuses on Wen Ning and A-Yuan and the second one on the Nie brothers.

I am tearing up and don't want to believe it hahah. These the untamed reactions has no joke been my nr 1 driving force the post months. It's the part of the week I have been looking forward to the most, and not to be dramatic but what's going to keep me happy now hahahah. By the way guys, I once saw someone pointing out something truly interesting and true. That person said "16 years ago, Lan Zhan was always wearing blue and white outfit or blue outfit which are colorful, then when Wei Wuxian die, he was wearing only white, and when Wei Wuxian came back as Mo Xuanyu he was still wearing white so that nobody will know that Wei Wuxian is back to life, then after all the truth was revealed and Jin Guangyao died, Lan Zhan started wearing colorful outfit again, because everyone now know that Wei Wuxian is back so he don't have to wear mourning outfit anymore." Let me tell you, when I first read this, I was even more in love with the character of Lan Zhan (gosh I wish I could get a husband just like him, I'm begging you God🙏🏼) And no Lenny, there's no The Untamed season 2, there's nothing more, it ended here. The first time I saw that ending, it break my heart not to see Lan Zhan but apparently if you go back to that scene and zoom to Wei Wuxian's eyes, you can see Lan Zhan's reflection. I wanted to see Lan Zhan smiling and telling Wei Ying "Let's go. Let's go back to gusu together" or something like that 😭😭😭😭 And it's because of that ending that I wanted to see more of them and then became even more obsessed with this drama dnnfsb ......... There you go comrade, I'm on my way to re-watch all over again The Untamed + your reaction. I don't care, I'm never and I'll never be tired of this drama, trust me. And I'm still reading Leah Kim novel too so yup, I'm in to discover any other universe of Wangxian, whether it's modern, ancient China, even if they reincarnated as animals, I don't care, I'd still read it 😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm in emotional crisis right now SEND HELP PLZ !! 2024-07-03 20:59:37 +0000 UTCI was already on Cloud nine when I saw y'all posted the reaction but then I realized it's TWO HOURS LONG, LIKE WHAAAT!?!?!?!!! Two hours of absolute perfection, thank you so fricking much guys 🥹❤️ It's sad that we couldn't see Jin Ling bond with WWX (although in the novel we do get some adorable interactions between them when WWX goes on a night hunt together with all the juniors). JC also never got to tell WWX the truth about how he actually let himself get caught by the Wens in order to save WWX. He couldn't make himself tell him the truth and perhaps he never will.... For anyone who is discouraged/disappointed by the final scene (I know I kinda was the first time I watched it), the special version of the drama (a short, 20-episode version with some extra WangXian moments) actually ends with the scene where WangXian are standing together on that rock in the water in Cloud Recesses, so we kind of get to see them living their happily-ever-after next to each other. Although even here, after WWX and LZ parted, we saw WWX playing the flute and wearing different clothes, which means that some time has passed and they're finally reunited (hopefully this time for good). And in the novel, of course, we see them together, married and walking off into the sunset with Little Apple (and LZ finally tells WY the name of their song) 🥹🥹🥹 Those scenes towards the end were gorgeous, the drone shots, the mountains and just the whole picture! Also LZ looks positively STUNNING in his new robes, like, that vibe is Majestic, Your Excellency! 😳 Wei Wuxian surely is a lucky man (they both are tbh) 🤧 Also can I say, I Love how each of you picked a different favourite character (Goodluck definitely took me off guard with Wen Chao lol). "You should always choose people who choose you" - Goodluck, 2024 (damn, my man Goodluck coming through with the hard-hitters 🥹 bro, why do you have to make me cry tho) Anyway, I'm kinda emo right now because our incredible, 6-month journey is over... 🥺 Despite the fact that I've watched quite a bit of reactions to The Untamed, that was my first ever opportunity to experience them in real time, anticipating every single video and counting the days until the next one drops. It was so exciting and I'm so grateful I had the chance to do that with you all. Lenny, Trish, Goodluck and Colin (and of course our dear Kate, whom we miss so much 🥹), thank you so, so much for gifting us this experience and for always being sincere, genuine and real! It breaks my heart again to see the scene when Jiang Cheng saved Wei Ying though. He lost his core for saving WY, and WY give his own core to JC. They care for each other so much that it's sad to see their relationship end like that. In the animated version (which is the first version I watched), they kept the fact that WY gave his golden core to JC till the end, my jaw dropped knowing that. And then they add that scene when JC made himself a bait to save WY... 😢 Sometimes in life, you have a relationship that you thought it would accompany you untill the end of the world, but it just ends abruptly with a little wound that can never be fixed. Also thank you all for not minding my grammar mistakes 😭
