I finally got to finish watching this now that I'm less busy! God bless your lungs for reading all of that Lenny and I'm so excited for the behind the scenes reactions! Also haha I did write for both Lan Zhan and Wei Wuxian in depth. Lan Zhan is my favorite but Wei Ying is very close to him and since they're the main two (especially Wei Ying), I figured I should definitely give my full thoughts on both of them so I did! I don’t know if someone has commented this before but there’s a special version of The Untamed (which you can watch on YouTube) where they uploaded a lot of the episodes with longer scenes of Wei Ying and lan Zhan together where they seemed closer, like they had more eye contact or the touches where longer or scenes had more minutes, so you can see how closer they were and also that they filmed this scenes with more the original intent of Danmei in mind. Idk if I’m explaining myself well. AND the important thing is that the last episode (50th) they rearranged it different than the original version, where the last scenes are placed in a way that you can see that they were never separated in the end (example= they never had the conversation where lan Zhan doesn’t go with Wei Ying after he finds out that Lan Sizhui is A-yuan, after they are smiling the scene cuts to them playing their instruments by the waterfall in cloud recesses and then where they talk about their names and smile and The End)

Informations about two movies: “The Living Dead” is the extra chapter about Wen Ning and Lan Sizhui, these two are main characters with same actors as the drama, but the other characters in the movie are all new. “Fatal Journey” is the extra chapter about Nie Mingjue and Nie Huaisang, same as above Nie brothers and Jing Guangyao were played by same actors as drama

to answer your question, yes, the two movies does have the same actors as in the untamed. Not all the characters are a part of the movies tho, as they focus around specific side characters in the untamed. But the characters that are a part of the movie are played by the same actors as the ones in the untamed! The movies are also related to the untamed, as it is just a more in dept point of view from the side characters sides. As mentioned one movie is about a-yuan and wen Ning, and the other one about the nie brothers.
