He does not post anything on his bday, unlike the previous years. But for this year, Yibo posted a pic with "27 😎" caption. And a hashtag trended in weibo "Wang Yibo is now the same age as Xiao Zhan was when he filmed The Untamed".

2024-08-11 18:57:42 +0000 UTCI don’t know if someone has commented this before but there’s a special version of The Untamed (which you can watch on YouTube) where they uploaded a lot of the episodes with longer scenes of Wei Ying and lan Zhan together where they seemed closer, like they had more eye contact or the touches where longer or scenes had more minutes, so you can see how closer they were and also that they filmed this scenes with more the original intent of Danmei in mind. Idk if I’m explaining myself well. AND the important thing is that the last episode (50th) they rearranged it differently than the original version, where the last scenes are placed in a way that you can see that they were never separated in the end (example= they never had the conversation where lan Zhan doesn’t go with Wei Ying after he finds out that Lan Sizhui is A-yuan, after they are smiling the scene cuts to them playing their instruments by the waterfall in cloud recesses and then where they talk about their names and smile and The End) so Happy ending with no separation there! :)

He still holds that record. He posted the song at midnight with zero advertisement during that very difficult year and the people overwhelmingly came to purchase his song in support. After the success of the Untamed and before the 227 incident, Xiai Zhan was invited to the 1st season of Our Song in China, a very lovely singing competition that showcases some of the most famous Chinese songs, pairing young singers with already popular singers, and added to that, a very impressive instrumental band to serve as accompaniment. Many of those memorable performances can be found on YouTube.

They are already the best friends, although Wang Yibu faced a lot of criticism because they believe that it is not suitable for a role Lan Chan .but he proved the opposite The role was written for him. Sad thing is, during Yibo's 21st bday, he went live on social media to celebrate with his fans, but got so much hate and cursing from haters and even from fans who were against him taking up the role of LZ. Good thing that few months later, it was revealed that the crew celebrated Yibo's bday on set. Zhan even bought him a bike helmet as a bday gift. Which was heart warming considering that Zhan was barely earning at that time and had to save-up to buy that quite costly helmet. Just so you know, Zhan's contract for the Untamed was 1M rmb or more or less 140k usd as pay, for 50 episodes. And his cut from his agency was 20%. Basically,Zhan, after all that acting, crawling, flying, etc. earned around 28,000 usd for 50 episodes or had a pay of around 600 usd per episode. And the cost of the helmet Zhan gave Yibo was around 2,000 usd. The thing that Zhan was holding while chasing Yibo around was an insect. Yibo is notorious for being afraid of insects and the dark. 😅 In Chinese filming, the actors were usually housed in a hotel near the filming site and would work, almost everyday for 3 months. During the Untamed filming, Yibo had to leave at times as he had a regular hosting gig DDU and also Produce 101 filming. Zhan on the otherhand, had another filming in another drama, The Joy of Life. On the unofficial BTS released, there were instances were the boys were talking about their other filming commitments and there were even videos of Zhan begging Yibo not to leave him alone in the set or to return early to the set. But of course, it will not be shown in the official BTS, because it is censored. Surprise surprise. 😂 Anyway, hope that after you are done with the official bts, maybe more tiktok compilation reactions please?

The color looks great as well 😁 Ah, unfortunately censorship isn't just strict only when it comes to dramas, but also in the BTS content as well. So there's a lot of funny moments that were cut from those official videos (like Yibo and Xiao Zhan swearing or making suggestive comments and flirting with each other). And to explain the new BTS content that keeps being published even 5 years after the show aired: to this day there are some anonymous ppl, who are rumored to have worked on the set of TU, who keep posting little snippets of uncensored moments that no one has seen before. Hopefully you're going to see some of those in the tiktok compilations! 🙏
