HOUSE OF THE DRAGON *REACTION* FIRST TIME WATCHING! (1x9) "THE GREEN COUNCIL"

🔥 Fire and blood have finally come to the Pumpkin Patch. We took our first-ever flight into the world of House of the Dragon, and it was petty, brutal, and beautifully devastating in all the right ways 🩸

In “The Green Council” The King's passing throws the realm into chaos as alliances fracture and the race for the throne becomes utterly cutthroat. The storm has arrived Pumpkins, and everyone’s reaching for the crown ⚔️👑

You mean the move she pulled that killed about 200 innocent people? That move? Sorry ;-) I always find it amusing that no one ever spares a thought for all the innocent people in that scene. I haven't seen a reactor mention them either. They all just give Princess Rhaenys a pass immediately and without question. I guess it's the human condition, love and care about what you know and what's in your immediate purview, and ignore the rest. We all do it :-D The move was pretty damn awesome like you said though. I'm loving these reacts. Can't wait for season 2

Thanks for the info! Since we’re watching the show completely fresh, we try to stay inside the show’s POV and experience everything exactly as it’s presented. Ryan Condal actually said Viserys’ final scene was intentionally murky and meant to mirror Alicent’s confusion, so we’re totally okay being confused right along with her, that’s the show’s intention. We’re happy to let the story reveal things in its own time, but since we sometimes binge multiple episodes, we don’t always get that context until the show gives it… or until we read the comments. Trust, we’ve always got a lot going on in our heads. we don’t say every single thought out loud, but we absolutely knew Alicent was confused, just like we were.

The White Worm is a boss! Good for her! Princess Rhaenys is a favorite of mine, from this show & the book. That move she pulled....awesome! Her dragon, Meleys is my favorite, then Seasmoke. The hand is a piece of shit....disgusting man. Another disgusting piece of shit, Lord Larys has a foot fetish. He trades information to the queen for exposing her feet. They've been doing it for years.

Alicent is wrong, he did not want their son Aegon to be king. He always, always, wanted it to be Rhaenyra. I explained in the previous video but just in case yall didn’t see it, I’ll explain here as well: At the end there when Viserys was talking to Alicent about “Aegon,” in his delirium he THOUGHT he was talking to Rhaenyra & he was talking about the story he told her about Aegon the Conqueror & the song of ice & fire (remember that story he told her back at the end of the very first episode after naming her his heir?). Only the king & their heirs know about this story - it had been passed down from king to heir for many generations, since Aegon the Conqueror (the first Targaryen king & the one who actually had the dream of ice & fire). He thought he was telling Rhaenyra that he believes SHE is the prince/princess who was promised. Alicent on the other hand, who knows nothing about this story of the song of ice and fire, thought Viserys knew he was talking to her, so it came across like he was saying that their son Aegon was the one to rule. So Alicent leaves believing that just before he died he had changed his mind about wanting Rhaenyra to rule and instead wants their son Aegon to rule. A huge misunderstanding lol Viserys *always* wanted it to be Rhaenyra. Just wanted to clarify that because it didn’t seem like yall caught that lol

King Viserys thought he was talking to Rhaenyra before he died, so he was basically continuing the conversation they’d had earlier about the Song of Ice and Fire. When he mentioned “Aegon,” he meant Aegon the Conqueror’s prophecy and was referring to Rhaenyra’s descendant being the one to unite the realm — not Alicent’s son Aegon.
