I have never seen anything close to this level of ongoing consent on film in tv or movies. I am completely turned on and in love and totally "in" this sexual moment with these two. Honestly i have never been so switched on by a male on male scene, and i have never seen anything so consistently focused on consent throughout the whole show. BRAVO!

I ARC read for a lot of indie authors and review on my Instagram page (that’s all my page is) and I’ve read a lot of M/M books (I read all the time) A lot of time I find M/M (male/male) books hit you in the heart a lot deeper and the storyline is so much more thought out and beautifully written. If you ever want any suggestions for Male/gay books, I’ve read a lot. For The Fans by Nyla K and Ruin my Life by Julia McColgan are extremely good, (especially For The Fans). I’ve read the book, Heated Rivalry. I’ve just ordered the updated version (cover) and the other books in the series.

Plus Ilya is just swoon to the moon 😍🥵 Not me suddenly bursting into tears when Ilya gets back into bed after the shower and looks at Shane and says “worth the wait?” And Shane lovingly holding his face and kissing him 😭😭

He didn't understand that why Ilya was upset in Las Vegas and he didn't understand that Ilya was likely under surveillance and his phone tapped while in Russia. Connor Storrie is playing this part brilliantly. His Ilya is right up there with Sam Reid's Lestat.

I read Heated Rivalry first (book 2), then The Long Game (book 6 and a Shane/Ilya sequel), then I read Role Model (book 5 and set at the same time as book 6), I figured then I'd read Game Changer (book 1) because of episode 3 but found it very boring. Then I read Tough Guy (book 3) and really liked it. Just a long winded way of saying you can totally start with Heated Rivalry and it's such a fun, good read. But the order really doesn't matter all that much as you can see. I'm happy you guys are reacting to this show it has been consuming my life.

And not even like the smutt (which is phenomenal) but Connor and Hudson do such a good job at really expressing emotions through micro movements in their face. As someone who have been in years long situationship before (not proud) the back and forth dynamic and the excitement and disappointment is just so real
