2025-12-31 16:29:42 +0000 UTCAs a teacher, I have NEVER once given my kids work over a break. And, true story, when I first started I shared my class with another teacher for math. She was behind in the curriculum and decided that the best solution to this was to give the kids a big packet of work to complete over the break. I caught wind of it and was so irritated that I gave my kids time in my class to work on the packet so they would be finished before break. I held on to the packets and gave them to the kids the first day back so they could turn them in. Probably a little pushy on my part- I don't know if the other teacher ever figured out what I did, but oh well. I didn't think it was fair that the kids were essentially being punished for her inability to to get through her curriculum. 🤷♀️
