Let’s conflate young Shauna’s head & sense of superiority even more. That’s perfect. I’m sorry but still so annoyed by young Shauna. I am honestly shocked she settled back into civilization as well as she did because adult Shauna seems to be like a normal person at least, aside from carrying all their baggage from the wilderness, she’s relatively normal I’d say, so it’s like…how did that happen? Because to be frank, at this point, young Shauna seems too far gone, I hope they will show us how they reintegrated back into society after being rescued. Also - that ending!!! Who are those guys?!? Surely it’s not how they get rescued because I thought things were supposed to get even worse before they get rescued. So if those guys aren’t there to rescue them maybe they are stranded too? I have no idea….maybe they have a recorder of some kind and maybe THAT is how they recorded that DAT tape!! Maybe that was in fact recorded while they were still in the wilderness….that OR it happened after they were rescued. I am so anxious to find out who those guys were at the end and what happens from here!

2025-03-15 06:36:21 +0000 UTCAkilah's vision was technically correct because killing Ben and doing their lil scream dance DID lead them to attract civilized people and get the chance to return home. The tape seems to be a recording of these "birdwatchers" that end up discovering the group (which is what struck Van's memory about the tape). We hear a female voice wondering what's going on, then we hear the girls hooting and hollering, then we seem to hear Lottie screaming "NO!" I originally thought Hilary Swank would be playing adult Melissa this whole season, but now I'm thinking she might be one of the hikers/birdwatchers or related to them. Especially because it was made clear that the only people who would know about the tape are accounted for or dead.

And I am wondering if the hikers were specifically bird watchers which is what made Van connect the dots about what could be on the tape Shuana received. The question in my mind now is who kept the tape... prob the last survivor but you never know if other Tai has had that hidden away all this time! I am also believing that their treatment of Ben is their bridge to humanity. Even if Nat had just killed Ben when the hikers stumbled upon them, I believe things would have been okay because she did it for humane reasons which would have kept the group tied to their humanity. However, Lottie putting Shauna in charge and Shauna then making Nat serve up coach and the rest of the group going along with it, to me, was them cutting ties with their humanity. Which is why when the bird watchers stumble upon them, they are going to act rashly to cover up their loss of humanity, even if it prevents their rescue. Overall, loved this episode!!

Plus the recorder is around the guys neck. They are so dead, at least 1 of them. Maybe Hillary is the other hiker? This is why I watch nothing! No interviews or “this week on” I was gobsmacked! My favorite episode for sure!
