I have to disagree a little. If they are a 6 days walk from a rescue zone, I don't think they would have found them. Remember it was the smell of the bbq that got their attention and they followed the smell. No bbq, no reason to go into that part of the woods. So if Ben had lived, they wouldn't have had the feast and the researchers wouldn't have any reason to wander so far from where the frogs were.

But because of dead Ben's head the situation went out of control. If Ben would have stayed alive, the two groups had met in a different way and the yellowjackets woud have been able to get back home.

California Serial Killer, Joseph James DeAngelo, was both the "Original Night Stalker" (ONS) and the "Golden State Killer" (GSK). He likely switched up his M.O. as to not get caught (and it worked for decades).

2025-03-26 11:51:14 +0000 UTCLast thought about the croaking episode - the girls heard that sound carried in the trees and air and had never heard it before and decided it was the wilderness talking to them. There are people who think they are possessed or being held down by ghosts because when they wake up from sleeping they can't move (no other haunting or supernatural things going on). I've seen interviews where they're told what sleep paralysis is and that it's why can't move. The look on their faces is always bewilderment and surprise there's a simple explanation. I think that when/if the girls learn that sound is frogs mating, we'd see a lot of those looks. Or if Ben had been told there were researchers that buried fresh supplies as a fail safe. Just some food for thought.

Kodiak (Joel McHale) is the name of a bear - Hannah asked if that's what he was named after. Side note: there was a very important episode of Community that was done as old school claymation, which is immediately what I thought of since that was such a huge show in Joel's career.
