A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS (1987) *REACTION* (MOVIE COMMENTARY)

We're preparing for battle as we lay our heads down to sleep, but not before a commentary on A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS! The kills are mean, Heather Langenkamp is queen, and Freddy's lore is quickly unraveling. We're warriors in Krueger's dreamland, please don't wake us!🥱 💤📺

I was a kid when this came out. Saw it in the theater with my best friend whose 18 year old uncle took us to see it 😂 my best friend’s name? Well, Kristin of course. I love Dream Warriors, but Please do New Nightmare eventually. It’s my favorite one. 🖤

I got an autograph from Robert Englund at convention a few years back and I got a chance to chat with him about how this was my favorite movie in the franchise. And he proceeded to tell me that if they ever did a remake of this movie he would basically want to play the Priscilla Pointer role! The mean/evil psychiatrist that doesn’t believe the kids! I was gagged!!!

I will always remember this movie by “welcome to prime time bitch” 🤩😂 so iconic!

My favorite is Wes Craven's New Nightmare. I just love how meta it is. Also, I'm unsure if you knew this but Freddy used to have a television series for two seasons. It was cheesy af. It was called "Freddy's Nightmares" and I watched it on Tubi. Oh! Miko Hughes (the kid who played Dylan, Nancy's son, in New Nightmare) made his own Freddy short film called "Dylan's Nightmare". You should definitely check them out.

This is probably one of my favorite nightmare on Elm street movies! Fun fact, a lot of people don't know that the films name was inspired by the assassination of President Kennedy, who was murdered on Elm street in Dallas, TX. Wes Craven described the murder of Kennedy as "where the innocent world ended". Also, so sad about Priscilla Pointer! She was so good in Carrie, can't wait to see your reactions to that next year for the 50th!
