ALIEN: RESURRECTION (1997) *REACTION* FIRST TIME WATCHING!

It’s been 200 years, and everyone’s favorite alien ass-kicker is back—but this time Ripley’s been tampered with. It’s our first-time watch of ALIEN: RESURRECTION, and we were not prepared for the gag of the galaxy. Her DNA may be fused with Xenomorph, but she’s still our Mother Ripley… just, well, resurrected. 🌍👾🚨🪐🥚🧪🤖

ALIEN: RESURRECTION (1997) *REACTION* FIRST TIME WATCHING!

bro ive never watched past Aliens because I heard the rest of the sequels are dog shit but I've been wanting to delve deeper into the Alien Lore and this movie surprised me. As did the last one. They definitely aren't as great as 1 & 2 but still hold water imo. The scene with Ripley finding all her previous clones and then finding the one that was half alive?? Wtf??? and then she Byford Dolphins her grand-alien-baby? wild. would watch again. can't wait to watch the other movies lol especially Romulus I've heard good things

So fun facts: Sigourney Weaver successfully made the basketball shot. She made the behind-the-back half-court basketball shot successfully after 3 weeks of practice, tutored by a basketball coach. She insisted on doing the shot herself, even though director, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, wanted to fake it. Sigourney made the shot on the first take. There is behind the scenes footage that shows her making the shot. The character of Dr. Wren was originally written for Bill Murray, which would have reunited Sigourney Weaver her co-star from Ghost Busters. Ron Perlman actually did his own stunt of hanging upside down off a ladder with his legs wrapped around the rung, firing two guns. The next day, when he came to take a shower, he discovered that he had severely lacerated the backs of his knees in doing so. The opening shot of Ripley cloned, albeit as a young girl, was based on photographs that Sigourney Weaver had given the special effects crew of herself as a child. Not so fun fact: Winona Ryder nearly drowned during the filming of the underwater scene. The underwater sequence marked the first time that Ryder had gone underwater since a near-drowning incident that happened to her when she was 12 years old. She suffered a complete anxiety attack on the first day of filming in the underwater sequence. Ron Perlman nearly drowned while filming the underwater sequence. At one point, when trying to surface, he hit his head on a sprinkler in the ceiling, knocking him out cold. He was rescued by nearby film crew members.

Y’all liked this more than the 3rd?? Y’all wild lol I feel like Alien 3 is underrated.. though the cgi is grim.

Love love love this one ! Ripley is not totally herself anymore she’s a bit alien also. And Wiwona !! Ron Perlman… que du beau monde ! Even Brad Dourif is here !! The scene underwater are great. Sweaty. Gooey. And Ripley says fuck pro-life.

I love the tag lines of these films. In Alien it was "in space, no one can hear you scream" and for the next one it's, "on Earth, everyone can hear you scream". I've heard some people put this film down but it's got Sigourmey Weaver as Ripley and I'm not going to miss that. I loved the double covering of the mouth and stunned into silence pumpkins during the early part of the film, that was classic. This is much better than alien3 for sure.

I love this movie. Maybe part of the love was seeing Ripley again. PS: Hey now, I often eat the whole lemon! 😄
