Such an iconic film and honestly the most manliest of men back in the 80s and 90s, Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes, delivered such amazing performances as drag queens! John Leguizamo as well! I still remember Cyndi Lauper performing and dancing with the guests at the end of the episode. Props to Kenny Ortega whose first job as a choreographer was for my beloved Xanadu. Mom only recently watched the movie with me, and she loved it. I enjoyed y'all's reaction SO much!

Yes, the lingo doesn't hold up and some parts are quite offensive -- specifically the "rachel tension" of it all, but I think it holds true to the climate even now. And who knows, in 30 years, the PC words we use may be deemed derogatory then. I just always cry when Stockard talks about the "Adam's apple". So beautiful. And it's always such a gag to see Miss Julie Newmar show up in a cameo at the end. As Wes said, "10's across the board." <3

Priscilla came out first but they both were in production around the same time So a little on set tea. Most of this was filmed in my home state of Nebraska. I worked at a summer theatre with a guy who was on the costume crew for this movie. According to him when Chris Penn (The sheriff ) wrapped up his filming and left set the whole crew cheered. Guess he was a jerk on set. He also said that they were told not to bother the actors and talk to them during fittings. But he said Stockard was the sweetest and talked to everyone

Chris Penn was always so good at playing a horrible man. But what a great actor I was so sad when he died, org Footloose was an all time favorite.

Dullard is the wicked witch, Vida, Noxema and Chi Chi are all Dorothy, all the towns people are munchkins, etc. There is a great made for TV film called, "The Girl Most Likely to..." you should look at, it's very short, like 75 minutes. I love the many references to PUMPKINS during this film, it's like they KNEW, it's in the blood.
