Like every time I watch twilight I think about how if I saw it for the first time today I wouldn’t even get past the first 15-20 mins 😂 But idc I love it cuz I’ve been watching it and reading the books since like 7 yrs old lmao it’s just too nostalgic to let go 🥲

2025-07-02 07:24:54 +0000 UTCI have a feeling that if you watched the first two HSM movies for the first time now, you wouldn't see them as being so great either. LOL. The last scene works well as a closing number to the entire trilogy. This movie was juggling a LOT of demands. They had to work around Zac filming another movie. They had to incorporate making a musical into the story since they had never literally done a high school musical. Disney was adamant about adding new younger characters for spinoffs (that never happened). That's also why they did the weird Sharpay will return bit. It felt more like a series of vignettes than a movie to me because only Troy & Gabrielle had any cohesive story and that story didn't even involve the other characters as much as the previous two movies did and it retreads the same themes (basketball, Gabriella has to go). I think the choreography and the musical numbers do really stand out and feel cinematic which is good.

For this one, yhe production value is just top notch. I was just at the right age for this movie when it came out so it stuck with me just as much as the first two.
