2025-09-22 02:30:25 +0000 UTCWatched this so many times already through reactions on YouTube and it’s crazy how I never caught the fact that Aunt Gladys says when the meets the principle for the first time, that Alex’s mom is his baby sister. But then when Alex is in the car with his dad going home from school, his dad says that his mom’s Aunt is coming over. Which would mean it’s his grandma’s sister. Not his mom’s baby sister. And then calling the sickness “consumption” like people would say decades upon decades ago 🤔 I think she’s a very old witch and not from this time who can’t keep her story straight lol maybe related to Alex’s family, maybe not, either way not who she says she is because you don’t forget if someone is your niece or your sister. And if she’s as old as I’m thinking, she’s neither his aunt or great aunt 😂

This was by far one of the scariest movies I have ever seen! So disturbingly good!! Theres nothing better than spooky season in the patch!

I loved watching it with y’all for the first time not knowing a damn thing about it. I did want it to continue with a little more context, but maybe that’s where a prequel will help. Either way, two thumbs up!

Watching it again with you guys, I feel even stronger about that connection, but the supernatural twist keeps it from being too morose. I also heard that there is already a prequel planned surrounding the evil diva, Gladys!

I ran into him at a supermarket in West Hollywood a few years ago and hung out, and he’s still very kind and silly! I remember him telling me that his gf’s bottom baby teeth never fell out, how much he loved theater camp, and how he still loves Smashmouth ♥️ . He also leads a popular theater collective in LA!

2025-09-09 12:26:39 +0000 UTCi’m glad you guys liked it! once again i’m probably in the minority but i was so disappointed by this movie 😭 idk if it was bc people hyped it up so much to me, but i really didn’t think it was good. the only part i found scary was when the possessed mom was walking up to the teachers car while she was passed out asleep. that made my butt pucker. but the rest of it, felt like storyboards of a movie that needed to be finished, i thought the POV switching didn’t add anything to the story and really slowed down the pacing too much, i wish we knew more about the aunt she just shows up and hexes people, to me everyone has weird reactions to things in the movie except for the principal of the school, the main character i also thought was really unlikable but maybe she was supposed to be, and i really dislike the use of humor in the last quarter of a movie when the tone has been serious the whole time just as comic relief. some people say the movie is ambiguous on purpose and thats why things aren’t answered, but i just don’t like that answer. you ca leave questions while still presenting a cohesive project. i really wanted to like it 🥺 but i don’t even want to watch it a second time. this is all my opinion, im glad people like it. i just wish it was for me
