FRANKENSTEIN (2025) *REACTION* FIRST TIME WATCHING!

⚡ If FRANKENSTEIN (1931) was creation and Bride (1935) was refusal, Guillermo Del Toro's newest iteration is the reckoning. It’s gothic romance in its truest form, beautiful, doomed, and aching, the kind of story that knows love is a festering wound and still longingly reaches for it anyway... 🩸

🕯️❄️ So join us, if you dare, for our first time watch of Guillermo Del Toro's FRANKENSTEIN (2025), a love story built from grief, guilt, and grave-dirt longing 🫀 🥀 🪦

Guys is frankenstein a generational curse breaker?

Please please please you guys have to check out the movie Mary Shelley, she wrote the original Frankenstein book, and the movie about her life is so sooo good

taylucero♡

Please please please watch Youn Frankenstein! This movie was so so good, but I need to know how the creature got out of the water both times, especially the first

DaisyBug78

You guys should definitely watch Ex Machina with Oscar Issac

What happened to the poor sled dogs in the beginning :( I also would like to know of anyone opinion on what happens to creatures bodies in these types of movies where they are shot or have damage inflicted to their bodies? Like in the beginning where Jacob’s character is shot with those high intensity guns? With a normal human body guns like that make you explode. The bullets don’t just make a clean enter an exit wound. So it would be expected that it would do that to Jacob’s characters body as well? So my question is do you all think the characters body regenerates? Or how does the creature continues with chunks of its body missing?

Jennifer Colstad

Omg I’m ready for this reaction and for Jacob 😋

Kelly

This reminds me of Francis Ford Coppolas Dracula and this is my Frankenstein now if I'm honest on equal par with Dracula.

Dark Harvest

I have been thinking about this movie nonstop since I saw it a few days ago. I'm beating myself up for not taking Jacob Elordi that seriously as an actor just because I could not stand the kissing booth movies or euphoria (this one is bad bc he has some amazing scenes in it, I know) and found the characters he played in those so despicable and creepy. I had no idea he had it in him to play this character and I got so immersed that I forgot this man was also Nate Jacobs and my heart broke for him over and over again. I was also hoping there was even a 1% chance that somehow Elizabeth could be reanimated or saved so they could finally be together but I know that would not fit in with the themes of the story. The chemistry was just so insane and they were true soulmates. Guillermo Del Toro is truly a gothic tragic romance girlie just like me. Now I'm off to finally watch Saltburn 🤗

This is a beautiful movie in every way. The acting, the cinematography, the costumes, the set design, the production and practical effects. So well done. There were a few things I could pick at a little. However, there was way more good than bad. I loved it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5.

You jumpscared me there talking as if Charles Dance had died. He needs to read a biography excerpt on The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year, thank you!

ilram07

I love twisted emotional journeys, and this had it all: creation, abandonment, transformation, guilt. Nobody mixes horror, heart and sorrow like Guillermo Del Toro.

Same

This movie confirmed that I need to reread the book, it’s been too long! I enjoyed this so much ❤️

Sabrina

Leslie Jordan trauma all over again! I panicked lol Charles Dance is still dancing

Dark Harvest

For anyone interested in how the film was made It is incredible and I love how he wanted to keep it like classic films using real sets and huge huge sets and all people thankfully https://www.netflix.com/tudum/features/frankenstein-jacob-elordi-makeup-monster-creation#:~:text=Guillermo%20del%20Toro's%20adaptation%20of%20Mary%20Shelley's%20novel%20is%20alive%20with%20meaning.&text=%E2%80%9CGuillermo%20said%20this%20would%20be,meditation%2C%20but%20a%20metamorphosis.%E2%80%9D&text=Jacob%20Elordi%20stars%20as%20Frankenstein's,film%20from%20Guillermo%20del%20Toro.

I knew this was going to be an amazing movie, but it exceeded all my expectations. Everything is better with more Mia Goth. The direction, the acting, the sets, just everything was chef's kiss. It's fascinating to see that in every adaptation of the story, you can add new elements to enrich it. Edited to add I teared up at the end, and I did not foresee a Frankenstein movie feeling like a punch to the heart.

Chad Moore

Yall need to react to the Dune movies and show 😊

Amanda Caroline

Me too 😂 when he said that I was like, wait what?!? But then I looked it up & he’s still kickin!

Amanda Caroline

Charles dance is still alive you and me worried for a minute lol

The Movie Buff

I don’t think it necessarily needed it kiss the hug was so intimate yet said so much

The Movie Buff

My Godddd Jacob Elordi was amazing, I needed more of The Creature and Elizabeth. A kiss before death would have been perfect . That movie was gorgeous

Chrissy

The Creature is almost childlike, like with watching the leaf to see where it goes in the water. He’s sweet with innocence because he knows nothing else. Jacob and Mia have fantastic chemistry together. Victor is every part the monster in this. Victor is so inherently jealous that Elizabeth sees more in The Creature and gives more time to him than Victor that he makes up an awful lie and says she must leave so she can’t be around The Creature. Ugh

Chrissy

That was very, very good. I agree with you guys that it needed more Mia Goth. I also think it was a little slow to get started. If a bit had been trimmed from the first 45 minutes or so, I would have been happy. Once it got going it was great. And because I will always and forever be the person who always has a Hannibal related tidbit to add to every situation- My fun fact is that Lars Mikkelsen, who played the ship's captain, is the brother of Mads Mikkelsen.

Lavender Violet

I’m not even halfway through and this movie is Gothically STUNNING

Chrissy

Chey I need yall to tm and make a shirt saying del tero says del moro and I spat my coffee out like this and an old Annabelle phase you once said like I need hoodies and shirts asap haha ps when the monster sees snow and is admiring it reminds me of Edward scissor hands where it’s like she she’s snow for first time and is showing the pureness of Edward and in away feels same here like shows how much of pureness the monster has like was a perfect scene with him and the old man

So apparently after Peter Dinklage went on Hot Ones last year, he spoke of Charles in a past tense and this stirred rumors/ articles/misconceptions that Charles was dead. So we had seen a post that we now know was false, and Charles is alive, thankfully!!! But yes, there was a time ( a while now) where we (and many more) thought he was dead probably due to a meme or shitpost and we never looked into it.

Petty Pumpkins

Charles Dance is still alive, had to check after you said rest in peace😭

Petra

Also I have to say about the whole building the monster scene all I can say is Hannibal would be proud of that work hahahahah

Jayden Joshua
