The City Penitentiary, a place no adventurer wants to wind up. It is a setting ready for new encounters and action. There are scuffles in the yard, negotiations with the guards, helpful visitations, escape attempts, and unfair judgements. Maybe you Player Characters' aren't convicts, perhaps your PCs are the guards that must keep wily inmates in order. It seems every large, lawfully functioning settlement has at least one penitentiary. I hope this one works well in your home games.
Ruined Prisons are another great site for exploration and adventure. Some are aged buildings still used to house criminals. Perhaps a terrible fire swept through the prison, or it was razed during a recent battle. Others are abandoned and forgotten places, since overrun with vermin, beasts and worse creatures. A Ruined Prison is a key place for undead themed scenarios as well, now overtaken by necromancers keen to raise an army of undead. Whatever you use the ruined prison for, I hope it serves you well.
The City Penitentiary & Ruined Prison is a dual set of mega maps with matching dungeons, they use the same base outlines, but are quite different. The City Penitentiary serves as a living prison in use, it is comprised of two mega maps and a dungeon map: the City Penitentiary 1 [90x40], the City Penitentiary 2 [90x40], and the Penitentiary Dungeon [40x30]. The Ruined Prison is a site in disrepair, crumbing and unkempt, it is also comprised of two two mega maps and a dungeon map: Ruined Prison 1 [90x40], Ruined Prison 2 [90x40], and the Ruined Prison Dungeon [40x30]. This is the Master Tier, it includes all the maps listed above, plus annotated DM versions of them, and a Foundry VTT world file. All of the maps have optional grids and are rendered in HD.
