UnderCity - March 2023

The southern rolling hills are home to the remarkable earth sheltered mini homes of the gnomes. Their unique houses and sprawling farmlands surround a city built for commerce with larger races. But that is only the tip of the iceberg; Below the surface is a unique subterranean complex that is a world unto itself. The UnderCity, as locals call it, is a labyrinth of tunnels and caverns connected by twisting corridors that make up a city-like complex. There are more workshops, private residences and secured sites below the surface than above it. The Under City is lit electrically and lined with exposed copper cables that can spark spontaneously. Brass pipework snakes around the tunnels, dripping arcane pollution. Automatons dig ever deeper into the earth, creating more and more chambers. Some are used as mines, the rest is used by the lords for crafting, storage or as hideaways. Few would ever truly appreciate the engineering marvel that makes Feneras function from day to day. The engineering is functionary, but it is quite a dangerous and calls for repair often. This is the dark kept secret of the gnomes, the same steampunk power they have utilized is also the source of their pollution. Anyone that has seen Feneras firsthand undoubtedly recalls the haze of smog hanging over it.

The UnderCity is a steampunk themed scenario set. It features a four-page mega-map city square, the northern residential district and a hidden laboratory of a mad scientist. There are also six corresponding alternates. The set also includes the Game Master Manual with map keys, adventure hooks and a mysterious scenario. All of this is available pre-set in FoundryVTT! You can choose to run it as written or use the aged Blank Maps and custom Art Assets to adapt it to your own homebrew game. Note that the PDF Manual is in the Master Tier folder.
