She walked trough them in order to see this dangerous lands and keep this memories for long, trough, accidently she felt a weird, pleasant scent that made her follow it. Unnaturally curious she became careless and get caught by the Mantids.
They felt that this body could be used for breeding, as a perfect egg incubator for their insect offspring, so it's was only a matter of time, until their acidic spit devoured her clothes, until their scent made her drunk, and until thick, jelly-like ovipositor invaded her womb and ass, filling the elven body with a few dozen of eggs, that gonna warm up inside her body, feeding off it's juices, until they will fall out, and elven traveller will become a Broodmother.
