In fact their after award live's get more online live viewings than the Awards Show's get in viewership. They've done performance's at all the awards shows as they are there due to being up for awards eg 12 billboard awards, 5 Grammy nominations plus all the other minor US award shows plus all the MAMA's and MMA shows. Those they end up having to get up multiple time's to pick up awards plus do performances for. They hardly get time to stay in their sits at the MAMA's an MMA's.

2024-07-17 19:40:11 +0000 UTCIt was wild cause JK and Jhope had Covid until one day before the show. So they had to practice without them and Jin too. There are behind the scenes for it on BangtanTV. Man I’ll never forget how we prayed they will be negative on the performance day 😂 Whatever others say here , ever since they debuted BTS dreamed about being at the Grammys and even being nominated was a dream come true for them. Now I think they dealt with the disappointment of that show and their decision making. ( heartbreaking to watch them not win T.T ) But this was their second performance at the Grammys and the first on live there on stage. The first was dynamite but they prerecorded that and couldn’t attend cause of COVID. This was a huge deal for them. Little sweet fact: Back then around their debut RM and SUGA used to dream a lot together cause they were the two who knew about music the most and taught it to the others. They dreamt about their future and how big they will make it. Never expecting this of course. But SUGA was the one who dared to speak about “ going to Grammys “ one day out loud. The others laughed a bit embarrassed… never daring to dream that high. But SUGA was confident for all of them together. You can see it in his eyes and smile. He is always the one to dream big even when the others didn’t dare. SUGA never laughed at anyone stating goals or dreams. He’s always your first supporter. And then when you see it over the years how the others slowly started to voice dreams too… daring to say they wanna win a Grammy too. I sounds dramatic but you can’t make this shit up I swear 😂 It was really like that. SUGA is the sweetest guy 💜

Actually a lot of their hit songs are rearranged for awards shows. They rework the choreography to match the new music. For example there are at least 5 performances of "Black Swan". 2 of them are all choreography! Big productions. And for "Butter" There are the Hotter, Cooler, and Sweeter versions. The hotter one has a fun MV. And a Silly Karaoke version. And Live Performances on America Late Night shows. Enjoy them all.

For 3 Years in a row they lost and a Best Duo won. The category should be divided into 2 different awards. Best Duo. Then Best Group. They would have won Best Group every year. I don't think the Grammy's decision makers have smarted up to change the category. So it's hard for a group to win. And the Duo is 2 people getting together to record one song. To collaborate one time in a year that's played over and over. Best Group is for work done ALL Year Long. Many of us don't care if they win or not. Because all 3 of their English speaking songs hit #1 on Billboard and stayed #1 for weeks. They deserved a win for Best Group every year. After the Grammy's they did a Vlive. Getting online to talk to Army. Millions of Army signed up to watch their VLive each year. More people than the ratings numbers for the Live Grammy show!!! We KNOW who really won. Who made millions!! And who is The Most Talented!!

The Truth is they ALL learned the choreography way before any of them got sick with covid or injured. However because of all the challenges, they had to practice on their own. It's true they had 1 day to practice all together on set. 1 day to rehearse on stage to do a tech run and a dress rehearsal. But that's all the time any group gets. All the Grammy performers are given a time slot to work out lighting and sound and camera and music cues. And they had laser cues and JK coming down from the ceiling practice too. Just one rehearsal to get it all polished and ready for TV. But these guys are pros. The coat trick had to be practiced together. So 1 day of practice for that difficult prop trick was hardly enough. Because they never had gotten it perfect before. Not until the actual Live Performance. Whew! If you noticed Jin joined them at the end of the song. Due to his recent surgery he wasn't allowed to do the difficult stunt work. The lasers and coat trick. They received a Standing Ovation from their peers. That doesn't happen often. So that was special to be honored that way.

Cause leading to this performance they faced so many challenges. --Jungkook just recovered and was cleared of Covid A DAY before the Grammys. --Jhope just recovered from Covid and was clear to travel to Vagas so he arrived in Vegas 1-2 days before the Grammys. --Jin was still recovering from his injury (he has minor surgery on his finger) So the Day before is the only time they are complete and perfected the whole Choreo.. even the Suit choreo was perfected a day before the performance. Btw: This performance was the best, if not, one of the best performance of the Grammys that year.

2024-07-13 03:13:03 +0000 UTCAs an Army who watched this all go down in real time, you wouldn’t believe how lucky we are to have gotten this performance. They very nearly had to perform it as four. Jin injured his hand badly enough to need surgery only three weeks before and it was BAD, they were arranging themselves on the red carpet to make sure no one walking past nudged him because it was that painful. They were already rechoreographing everything to account for Jin not dancing for most of it when J-Hope tested positive for COVID, and then a few days later Jungkook did too. It was so close to the wire they had to travel separately from the other members and Jungkook even had to get a permission to leave quarantine early. They had to prepare for this fully not knowing if they’d be able to be there, and out of all the members those two are probably the hardest to lose. Jungkook is their centre and main vocalist, and while they’d had to adjust around him being too injured to dance before, him not being there to sing would have been a massive loss. And as for J-Hope? He’s the only member who’s never missed or had to sit out of a performance regardless of injury or illness. Every K-Pop group has their main dancer, but BTS call Hoseok their dance leader for a reason. He’s the one who makes sure their choreography is perfectly executed, who keeps the members together, who even adjusts things for them depending on the stage size, weather and the members conditions. If they had to adjust to not performing without a member, it would usually be J-Hope who helped them figure out how to cover it, but him potentially not being there? Extremely anxiety inducing. Thankfully he and Jungkook recovered in time and Jin was well enough to join them at least partially even if he was in a lot of pain. But yeah this whole thing was so CLOSE to being a disaster and we’re so lucky we got a performance with all seven. And no this isn’t their first American performance, it wasn’t even their first Grammys. It was their third, and despite having never won a Grammy due to *checks notes* some racist bullshit, they’re regular performers as they’re the only ones capable of saving their dwindling viewership. They’ve been regularly performing at the BBMAs, VMAs and AMAs for years, but the AMAs are the only ones who seem to actually respect them. They’ve also done the late night talk show circuit, America’s Got Talent, Good Morning America, the Jingle Ball, New Year’s Rocking Eve in Time Square, MTV Unplugged. It’d be faster to list what they HAVEN’T done at this point.

J-hope & Jk were recovering from covid at that time so they couldn't travel & landed in Las vegas (where grammys were held) just 2-3 days before the main event & they ONLY had just 1 day to practice together as a GROUP of 7 before the main performance and STILL despite everything THISS is what they delivered, an ICONIC performance as well as got their deserved standing ovation for it 💜

Jhope and JK had been in quarantine from Covid, they were 24 hour from the performance when they were cleared. Their stamina was not top notch, they both tripped in the number but they kept going! The background of the paintings on the wall behind them are significant. Watch how the background changes as the heist is successful and they steal priceless art! They didn't win this year, but they did 6 shows of their PTD tour in Vegas. Before that in Los Angeles! All sold out shows!!! Before that they accepted the BB Social Media award once (earlier in 2017), and since then they have performed on multiple award shows and other shows in the US. They have also performed on the Grammy Awards three times now - once with Lil Nas X, once from Seoul during COVID, and this time.

Jk and J Hope were in quarantine in USA because they both had covid. J-hope only had one day of practice . They DID DNA on either billboard or AMA's. they performed on both.
